The Wichita Sports Commission would like to honor Tonya Atta with the Robert E. “Bob” Hanson Impact Award. Tonya, who worked at the Wichita Sports Commission for 25 years, was the glue that kept the Wichita Sports Commission working smoothly. Always making sure everyone was prepared and willing to lend a helping hand to all. Tonya’s impact on the Wichita sports community is one of resilience, dependability, and longevity.

Registration for the 2024 Buster Posey Catcher’s Clinic featuring Buster Posey and collegiate catchers Jacob Cozart, Walker Janek and Ryan Stafford closes Friday, June 21. The clinic will be giving away autographed baseballs, new catcher’s gear, and tickets to the Greater Wichita Sports Banquet where the winner of the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award will be announced!
