Last night we said 'see you soon' to one of our favorites - Lucdyenn (Luce). Luce is returning to Columbia because her school visa was not extended. Luce was always happy, always positive and always ready to smile with you. She never ever complained and that is with working with this rambunctious group of misfits. Luce is a gem and we will miss her.

A Weekend of Rememberance...

Today (Thursday, August 10) would have been Sonny's 72nd birthday. Sonny's 32 year tenure made him the longest running waiter/ employee/ co-owner this establishment has ever been graced with. Sonny passed away on January 7, 2022. The loss to all of us since his passing is impossible to put into words - so we thought we'd ask you!

If you have a fond memory or brief story to tell about Sonny, please comment below. We will post your words in Sonny's dining room so his memory joyfully lives on.

From Stephen: "For years, Sonny would always patiently wait for me to finish closing the restaurant down -sometimes into the next morning hours- so I wouldn't have to leave the building all alone at the end of the night. I never asked him to. He just did it sitting there watching TV or years later his phone. I knew I could always count on him.

Every night I would routinely ask him on my way out the door as if it were the first time, "Sonny! Did you check the restrooms?"

And every night, Sonny replied, "Yes, Sir. I did!" ... as if he were tired of being asked.

And then I would look at him with a questioning smile, "Both of them?"

Sonny had this awww-shucks kind of pat retort... "Both of them."

Nobody can say it like Sonny used to say it.

I miss him...
