Today was LaVernes last day. She was here from the beginning in 1995. She is retiring. We appreciate her and love her. Her awesome client Charlie Little made her this beautiful cake to celebrate her long career. Thank you Charlie for your thoughtfulness.

Shear Creations has been open at this location since 1995. Karen has owned it since 2010. We have enjoyed this location for many years. We will no longer be open at this location after October 17. Karen has decided to transition her salon to Sola Salon at Newtown and work by herself. She loves our other stylists, but running a big salon has become overwhelming, especially during the pandemic. She feels that this change will allow her to focus on what she really loves, doing awesome hair while enjoying her clients. We have given our stylists plenty of notice. LaVerne is retiring and Jenny is going to Illusions by Marcus. Karen is just moving and booking her future appointments to the new location, where she will begin on October 20. Again, we are not going out of business, we have simply downsized. Shear Creations by Karen will now be located Sola Salon, Suite 13 in Newtown, near Opus 9 and Panera Bread. She is already booking appointments for the new location. If you have appointments already on the book beyond this location close date, Karen will be in touch with you to confirm. I hope that you will find this new location works very well for you. Thanks for all the support.

Karen has been cutting Sheriff Diggs hair for many years! He finally got an appointment. His last haircut was before the lockdown. Thanks for the business Sheriff!

Karen’s husband cleans the salon on Sundays and mops with Lysol disinfectant cleaner. We are doing all we can to keep a clean, safe salon! Thanks for your support!

All of our stylists are Barbicide certified for Covid-19 prevention. Jenny is too, she just does not have her certificate posted. This was not a government requirement. It is a requirement we made before we re opened to take extra steps for safety. We have done an awesome job making sure your experience is safe and exceptional!

We made it through our first week under the Governors guidelines. It is not easy for us, but we are so happy to be back open! While maintaining excellent customer service, we are constantly working to keep the salon clean and safe! We know wearing a mask is not easy for you and it is not easy for us either! We know it has been more difficult to get an appointment and we appreciate your patience! Please stick with us! We need you! Thank you all!

We know wearing a mask in the salon is not easy. It is not easy for us either. Please understand that this is a government requirement and at this time you must wear one while in the salon. We have heard of at least one salon where the health department has come in to check to see if regulations are being followed. We can not afford to lose our license! Thank you for supporting us! This has not been easy for any of us, but we are doing as much business as we can while keeping the salon clean and safe!

Tomorrow is th day! Appointments only, for now please. Also please wear a mask before entering and read all signs on the door for safety information. We have done and will continue to do our best to keep a safe environment. Thanks for your support!
