New riverfront restaurant Salty Siren to replace Holy Mackerel brewery at Jordan Point

They’re definitely is a shortage of waterfront restaurants in the area. This one’s a little further than most, and I’m glad to see someone purchased it and is revamping it.

The owners of a Petersburg eatery are taking over a riverfront brewery near Hopewell and bringing in an entirely new concept.

Kat McCay and Jessica Pilout, who run Old Towne’s Alibi restaurant, have purchased Holy Mackerel Small Batch Beers at 700 Jordan Point Road in Prince George County.

While Holy Mackerel remains open for now, the duo are planning to scrap the brewery label and on-site beer making, remodel the space and reinvent the property as a new restaurant called The Salty Siren.

💀 **People are *Dying* to Live Here!** 💀

Looking for a unique investment opportunity? How about owning a piece of Philadelphia's rich history? Well, here's your chance! The Historic Mount Vernon Cemetery is up for grabs, and trust us—it's to *die* for! 😜

Nestled at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and W. Lehigh Avenue, this sprawling 26.79-acre property is the final resting place of some of Pennsylvania's most famous residents, including members of the Drew and Barrymore families, and even some revolutionary and civil war veterans. Talk about exclusive neighbors!

With an impressive, gated archway designed by the renowned architect John Notman, and a gatehouse building that just needs a little TLC (okay, maybe a lot), this cemetery is brimming with potential... and, well, maybe a few ghosts. 👻

We’re not quite sure what you could do with this historic gem—maybe start a haunted tour, or create the ultimate Halloween attraction? Whatever your vision, remember: buyers must do their own due diligence to determine if there's any *unused* burial land remaining.

But wait, there’s more! The lucky buyer will also receive financial support through restricted plot trust funds for maintaining the cemetery in perpetuity, under the watchful eyes of Philadelphia Orphans Court and the Pennsylvania Attorney General. What more could you ask for?

Don't let this *grave* opportunity slip away—message for more details! 📩

🏡 Farewell to New Beginnings: Wishing the Best to the Old Owners and a Warm Welcome to the New! 🏡

It’s always tough to transition to a new chapter, especially when it involves leaving a beloved home. Kathleen and Don Welker recently made the decision to downsize from their beautifully maintained Windsor Forest home. It was a pleasure working with them, especially since Kathleen and I go way back!

Wishing the Welkers all the best in their new journey, and a warm welcome to Matthew and Meredith DeJesus, the new owners of 110 Clarendon Court! 🏡❤️ We hope you enjoy Windsor Forest as much as the Welkers and I do.

As the “Mr. Williamsburg” of real estate, I’ve noticed that many seniors are considering downsizing or relocating to better suit their needs. Helping clients navigate this life transition is both a privilege and a responsibility. If you or someone you know is considering a similar move, I’m here to assist with a smooth and stress-free process.

If you’re thinking about a move, now is the time to start planning. I’m happy to meet and discuss how to maximize your home’s value through potential improvements, and I can also connect you with trusted contractors to get the work done. As a 20+ year Windsor Forest resident, nobody is more invested in maximizing your home’s value than I am!

About Mr Williamsburg

I love Williamsburg !

Being “Mr. Williamsburg” and starting my web site in 2004 has been a great way for me to help people looking for homes for sale, communities and an “insider knowledge.” of the area.
Turned out I was onto something. Because I offer in-depth information and up-to-the-minute blogging, even international clients have found me. One couple, moving back to the States from France, told me that a post I wrote blog about grocery shopping in Williamsburg convinced them that Williamsburg was the place to be, and that I was the best source by far that they found on the web.
I’m happy to say that I hear similar comments from many of my clients looking for homes throughout Williamsburg and Hampton Roads.
I grew up in Virginia Beach, Va, After attending college, I worked at a number of positions including manager of a land development and construction company and business manager of a cut flower business that we grew in sales from $300,000 to $15 million (we were supplier to Whole Foods and one of the first cut flower suppliers to Costco).
In 2004, it seemed like a good time to simplify my life. I moved my family from Annapolis to Williamsburg. I went into real estate with Liz Moore and Associates, and was one of the initial agents when Liz opened her Williamsburg branch.
My sons Zach and Josh attend Lafayette High School and Hornsby Middle School and are crazy about sports and the outdoors.
I feel lucky to be living the dream, and saving two to four hours by not driving on the DC beltway every day. So, I can now spend my time with family while concentrating on learning — and sharing — information about living in Williamsburg.
In real estate, no two people or transactions are the same. Everything’s a challenge, and I’m rewarded every time in close a transaction and have the opportunity to see the smiles on clients’ faces.
