One of the best plants of the summer - Salvia Mystic Spires! Now in 3 gallon pots @$12.95 Blooms well into the fall - we just cut them back to make way for the new set of flowers... wow do they look like lavender and make a beautiful bouquet! 💐

Many Native Plants are essential for pollinators like butterflies, moths, bees and wasps. For example, Mountain Mint is known to attract more than 30 different pollinating insects. A quick glance at our 2 varieties of Agastache at our nursery reveals thousands of bees making the blooms look alive!

Our late flowering Asters are an important late summer and fall food source for pollinating insects. Some of the plants listed below are also important host plants eg. Golden Alexander is the host plant to Black Swallowtail Butterflies. Others, like the Cup Plant and Swamp Sunflower provide an important source of water & seed for birds. With the recent high rainfall totals this past month fresh in our minds - some of these Natives like Joe Pye W**d & Ironweed will suit planted in rain gardens or damp, low-lying areas of the garden.
