Aight. I'm in a rabbit hole of resources for campaigning for Harris/Walz.

There's a thing called the Reach App. You can get it from the harris/walz website.

In reach, there are downloadable/shareable social posts (written and video content, pictures, etc), as well as bite-sized comparisons of the H/W and T/V plans.

I came across this thing from Pete Buttigieg who is one of my personal heroes (because he is so good on his feet and speaks eleventy zillion languages and has two children who are the same age and is doing a real big job while that is also true). It's from the DNC, it's quick, and it made me cry.

But, another thing campaigning resources keep saying is to share my why, why am I voting for Harris/Walz. And this speech from Buttigieg encapsulates one part of it. It's so people whose families defy the "norm" get to be families. Because it's happened during my lifetime that q***r people can marry each other. Because some of the most important people in my life are q***r and their freedoms are really, really important to me. Plus, It's not on me to decide how others get to family. All families are valid.

Door-knocking is less scary than you think.
1) They give you flyers and talking points
2) They give you addresses of people who are usually Ds or convincible based on voting behavior (so a stray I or R)
3) It's nice to walk around in a specific neighborhood and see people walking their dogs and talk to folks.
4) They don't expect you to know everything cold or even have any experience with canvassing. They give you a little run-down before you go out and then they answer any questions. If you would like to try but don't wanna go by yourself, come with me on Saturday morning!
5) There's an app that makes it easy to know where you're going, and unlikely to get lost or knock the wrong door.
6) If you are absolutely unwilling to knock doors, you can phone bank, which you also do with an app, and you don't have to like, dial a zillion numbers. They also give you a script of talking points and it's pretty helpful.
