Making the most of the moments when despair leaves or lightens 💖

I worked with a chiropractor years ago at a trauma informed clinic and he quit because, "I don't want to provide trauma informed care." ... like, why not? There is this model that ensures better care for your clients but you are too lazy or your ego is too big to change? Just like trauma informed care, weight neutral care should be the standard.

I had 80 people register for the live version of this between June and July! The demand reflects the tidal wave of Ozempic like meds prescriptions right now. This is so hard to manage if you work in the ED, HAES or fat lib space... but you are not alone!!

Witnessing atrocities and still finding joy doesn't make us bad... it makes us human, it makes us keep fighting, it is fuel.

Do I have any followers that are still in college to become a therapist or recently graduated? I'm so curious if the same BS, neutral, therapy approaches are being taught.

Because all those little lifestyle hack memes and articles are just lists of privileged things that only privileged people can do. We can't improve mental health through white supremacy.

This happened in WNY. So, we have an intervention that isn't medically sound because we don't have enough research on it. And we are going to prescribe it to someone who doesn't even meet the current criteria? This tidal wave of weight loss medications is causing harm to patients, increasing oppression towards fat people and honestly, sometimes make me regret even getting into this specialization.

To all my white followers: if you paid all your bills, bought a mothers day present, are going out for brunch this weekend, I know you can donate to a black parent 💜🩵💙

I rarely (never) promote my individual services on this page but for the first time since the pandemic started, I have multiple evening appointment blocks available. I had 5 beautiful clients graduate in April leaving me with several openings at once👏👏This is also the first time in a while I don't have a wait list so I'm relieved to be able to schedule people quickly when they reach out for support!
