Recently got this Buick Le Sabre into the shop but I will not be parting him out because he’s in really good shape, therefore I am going to be fixing him and selling him. These cars ride great and I hope he goes to a happy home.

My baby... finally changed her lights so I will be able to see at night when I drive her. What do you guys think? Is she a classic or what? Also... what should I name her?

The 1999 Pontiac Grand Am is an N-Body Car which is also shared with the Oldsmobile Alero, Chevrolet Malibu, and Oldsmobile Cutlas.

The Grand Am is my personal Favorite of the N-Body cars because of the more aggressive styling.

They are available with 3 different types of engines. 2.2L Ecotech, 2.4L Twin Cam, and the 3.4L V6. The V6 comes In the GT Model.

This car is available in coupe or sedan and is a wonderful little car that is pretty cheap these days and has plenty of used car part support.

We will no longer be posting anything educational on this account.

Follow me if you like that content.

This account will only be for GM cars and part-outs.

11/13/2019

Both beautiful. I personally like the Trans AM a little better… but only a little.

Which one do you like best?

As discussed on one of my previous posts, The GM Yard is making a shift from parting out vehicles all the time to education because of personal reasons. We will still be parting out GM vehicles just at a slower rate until the course is done. The EGM school is coming soon!

Thank you to those of you who gave me feedback, I appreciate the support as always!

10/22/2019

You might have seen this already in the stories but I do need some feedback. Comment of DM me.

I am curious as to how you guys purchase your vehicles. I remember when I was 21 years old and I just got out of technical school. I went and financed a used 2003 GMC Sierra. I crashed it 3 weeks after getting it and turned it in for a lease, 1 year later. That lease was for 2007 Chevrolet SIlverado LTZ Extended Cab. Black on Black. It was gorgeous but I lived with my mom and that was really the only way I could afford that truck. Nowadays, the thought of a monthly payment makes me ill. It also helps that I am a mechanic and could fix my cars but still.

What about you?

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors.

Do you like having them? I do. However, let me tell you a few things about them that you probably didn’t know about.

The Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors (TPMS) is a sensor put in the tire to tell the driver how much pressure is in their tires. Pretty neat, since you wont need one of those pesky tire pressure gauges. Problem with the TPMS is that if they're not set up correctly most of the time. They may not be accurate when you need them to be. Well, it'll be accurate as far as the pressure it is reading, so long as the batteries have plenty of life in them. They probably won't be accurate in telling you which reading belongs to which tire.

The thing is, a tire rotation is a service that is frequently done on a vehicle. Much like an oil change. Everytime the tires are rotated these sensors need to be learned. They need to be taught their new position.

The Sensors send information remotely. You have to teach the computer what position each sensor is in, so when you see the information, you know what information belongs to what tire.

Problem is most places either forget, don't want to, or don't know that the tires need to be relearned after a tire rotation. That leaves you with inaccurate readings.

Also, worth noting that these sensors do have batteries in them. Like all things with batteries, they die or go weak. Which can cause these readings to be inaccurate or just not read at all.

My recommendation is to replace the sensors when you get your tires, to save on labor, and to ensure that when you get the tires rotated that you tell them to relearn the tire sensors position.

This video is from about 3-4 years ago. When I first started the EGM Channel and is one of my more viewed videos on YouTube. Though I would share it here as it is on a GM Product Anyway. Please excuse my Rookies Editing skills. lol.

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post. I have taken 2 Equinox’s apart and now have a ton of parts available for these cars. Both cars gave great parts.

If you own one of these vehicles and/or are looking for a part for these vehicles. Shoot me a DM I will ship anywhere in the US and my prices are competitive. When messaging me send me the name of the part along with your zip code so that I can give you an accurate price.

This car went through here so quickly I barely got a picture of it. This last week was very productive. I got this car tore down in just a day and a half. It does help that it did not have an engine and that i didn't record much because it's the second Equinox that I teardown.

We have about another day left and the entire thing is listed and ready for sale. The process is getting quicker and I am pretty happy with where we are in that aspect.

This last week I met and spoke with a few core buyers which is fantastic news and I have learned a ton about what cars I need to be looking for and what is valuable in a car.

Goals for the next week are to teardown the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am and try to have a majority of it listed. Another goal is to find a better system with managing my social media. As I get busier it is becoming more and more difficult to do it all and I still don't have the cash flow to add a member to the team.

One step at a time.

In this video I show you how to remove the tail lamp assembly on a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL. This will also work as a guide for the brake light bulbs and the reverse light bulbs as well. It really is pretty simple and does not require any bulbs.

Yes, that is an image from a 70s commercial of Mr. Goodwrench.

I am not implying that I am Mr.Goodwrench by any means, but I want to be something similar. Plus, I think it makes great content.

I don’t know everything. Far from it, but I do know a lot about GM vehicles. I can answer a lot of questions about GM systems, dtcs, repairs, cars, etc.

With that said. I want you guys to ask me as many questions as you can in the comment section below so that I can answer them in these posts. I am going to try and do this once or twice a week. So don’t be shy. If there has ever been something you wanted to know about GM cars. ASK ME. They will become future post. If I dont have the answer I will let you know or I’ll probably do the research to figure it out because it would nag at me.

Thanks.

In this video, I show you how I use an engine hoist to pull out an engine. In this specific video I pull an engine and transmission combo but the same practices are applied. When I started filming this video, the entire engine and transmission were ready to pull out.

Just 2 months ago. I quit my job with the intentions of going full time on an idea. I had just moved into this wonderful home and had a shop that was perfect for a woodworker. Not so much a mechanic.

In 2 months, I tore down the shop and built it back up with my business in mind. I filmed it and edited all those videos. I bought a car dolly, 5 cars, and tore down 3 of them. I learned a ton about the tear down process and the scrapping process. I also filmed and edited a bunch of videos of that, for the Youtube channel.

I also kept creating content for all my social media platforms. Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter & TikTok. I gained over 6 million views on all my social media platforms. Mostly TikTok but still, pretty impressive.

I am extremely happy with all that I have accomplished but still have a lot more to do. I plan on sharing with you guys the status of the business at least once a week. This will help keep me accountable and to keep you guys plugged in to the business you have all followed so closely.

Some goals I have for the next few weeks are.

Tear down a vehicle and list it completely in 7 business days. (By myself & wife helping me list)
Meet Personally with core buyers I have contacted in the past 2 weeks.
Film more content and get better at editing it.

I truly appreciate every single one of you. For those of you that have helped me along the way or just gave me some feedback. THANK YOU! Now, let me get back to work. This empire isn't going to build itself.

In this video, I show you how to replace a headlamp assembly on a 96 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL. This DIY can be used on any Cutlass Ciera SL from the years of 91- 96. It can also be used as a reference to replace any bulbs in the head lamp assembly.
