The story. I'm also an artist on paper, SURPRISE!
Beginning my art again started during quarantine, cleaning out my closet, without a job, just trying to make ends meet.
I forgot I had all these things.. in a plastic tub tucked away at the back of my closet.
I thought to myself I wonder if I've still got it, if the pencil in my hand works as well as it used to.
Dear friends of mine encouraged me to keep going and create a page devoted to my art. So here I am, almost every evening drawing again on my couch.
What a crazy year this has been and some of it has been just flat out beyond ugly, for me and for a lot of women I know. This art of mine could not have re-found me at a better time, and my hope is that it finds other women well too.
The amazing women of Good Roots in Glen Ellyn asked me to be a featured artist in their gorgeous new shop (GRAND OPENING is this Saturday 11/7!) and I am at a complete loss for words.
My favorite part about this journey so far has been meeting some of the other women who will also be featured in the same space. We're mother's, business owner's, amazing artists and we all have a layer of talent to add.
I cannot wait to see where this takes all of us beautiful humans involved.
Moral of the story. No matter how far you may sway from a passion you once had, it will always be there to welcome you back with open arms.
