City of Wilmington Water Department and Warren County Soil and Water college interns worked together to sample Caesar Creek and Anderson Fork. We looked at the water chemistry and sampled the aquatic macroinvertebrates. Macroinvertebrates are aquatic insects and other small invertebrates that live in our streams and lakes. They serve as a base of the food chain. Being sensitive to pollution, they also serve as good indicators of water quality. Both sites scored excellent for macroinvertebrate diversity!
