We are ready to clean with Wilmington College - Ohio tomorrow. We have 7 plus miles of walking routes mapped out for our 5 freshman teams. They will be cleaning multiple streets in the Southeast Neighborhood as well as E. Main, E. Locust, and parts of Rombach Avenue. 🦺👌🏼

The W. Main St. recycling lot in Wilmington (1274 W. Main St., near the fairgrounds) will be closed for pavement resealing from Friday, May 31st through Sunday, June 2nd.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but invite you to visit one of our other recycling drop-off locations during that period of time.
Any time we are open and you’d like to borrow a Clean-Up Wilmington bucket and grabber to help keep our trail or streets tidy while you walk, just ask at the Wheelies desk. Our hours are:

We had over 40 volunteers today! The rest of the group from Timbertech started early on the Main Street Pocket Park and on West Sugartree. Our remaining team (pictured) cleaned over 4 miles of streets from CMH to point Park to Xenia Avenue. We collectively cleaned the banks of the creek, parks, and streets and removed 16 bags of litter. We had volunteers from ages 70+ to 8 years old. Everyone can make a difference. Thanks for your time and effort. 🌎🧹💚 See you in May!

Thanks to the Clinton County Solid Waste Mgmt grant funding, Jefferson Township will once again be holding the annual clean-up events on April 19-21 and August 16-18th.
Overall winners in SWMD Earth Day poster contest announced - Wilmington News Journal Kindergarten through fifth-grade classrooms, along with art teachers and homeschool instructors across the county, were invited to participate in Clinton County Solid Waste Management District’s (SWMD) Earth Day Poster Contest in December.
Our organization recognizes the importance of curbside recycling and its positive impact on the environment. We are delighted to provide Wilmington with a $10,000 grant to further their efforts in this regard.
We recently awarded over $8,000 in 2024 Community Grants to assist with cleanup efforts across Clinton County. We are excite to partner with local jurisdictions to support these programs for their residents.
Rotary Club learns about Clinton Co. SWMD - Wilmington News Journal Erin Camery, of the Clinton County Solid Waste Management District, spoke to the Wilmington Rotary Club, which meets on Tuesdays at noon in the Clinton Memorial Hospital Conference Center about her organization.
This week our Outreach Specialist, Erin Camery (second from the left), was recognized by the Blanchester Local School District for hosting our popular Wheel of Waste program at Putman Elementary.
