This Saturday 11/18 The Wilmington Bombers Australian Rules Football Club , our local Australian Rules Football team, will be playing a game out in Winnabow at 11am and coming to Greenfield around 2pm for the afterparty.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about Aussie Rules Football, come hang at the after party or cheer them on at the game! The team is super friendly and always looking for new players.

This Friday 11/17 from 5:30-8:30pm, join us for Benchmark Physical Therapy’s “Pillars With Purpose” Happy Hour.

Benchmark PT will be raising grant funding for NourishNC as part of their “Pillars With Purpose” mission, a program that seeks to make positive and lasting change in our community.

New Anthem Beer Project will be donating $1 off EVERY beer sold during the event to the cause. Open to the public, all are welcome.

Thanks for all who volunteered with Sleep In Heavenly Peace this weekend. They had a ton of volunteers, and built 32 beds, as well as cut wood for another 20 to be built soon. Appreciate y’all.

New event at Greenfield…

Wilmington’s chapter of Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a national nonprofit dedicated to building beds for children without them, will be at New Anthem Greenfield hosting a Bed Building Event Sat. 11/11 from 10am-3pm.

We need volunteers to build beds! If you are interested, sign up ahead of time at bit.ly/shpevent. On the day of the event, meet us inside the Greenfield taproom to register. The build will take place in the back of the gravel lot across the street from our taproom.

Lunch will be provided for all volunteers, and the taproom will be there when we’re done with the build.

Leading up to the event, we have a donation bin in our taproom for Sleep In Heavenly Peace needed items such as purchased new, standard length twin-sized children’s bed sheets (they really need some for boys right now—think race cars, video games, etc). Bed in a Bags that are twin sized work great, too.

SHP also has options for continuous monthly donations to help get supplies for building materials, linens and mattresses. Head to their website http://shpbeds.org to learn more.

So far this year, the local chapter of SHP has build 175 beds and delivered 100 in 2023 with a goal of delivering 100 more before the end of the year.

We really appreciate what these guys do for our community and hope you can join us in big ways (or small) to support them.

The Big Paw Project will be hosting a Yappy Hour Supply Drive again at Dock Street Sat. 11/11, 2-5pm.

Bring an item to support our local resources and shelters. The most needed items are wet/dry dog food, puppy food, puppy pads, training treats, dental sticks, durable dog toys, paper towels, gift cards for supplies and more.
