Several inches of rain are expected and King Tides will peak today at 9:30 a.m. and tomorrow at 10:43 a.m. A coastal flood advisory is in effect until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow. Flooding risks will be higher during this time frame causing roadways to flood and possibly become impassible. Please avoid driving, and stay home if you can. If you must drive and encounter flooded roads, turn around and seek an alternate route. Please be patient on the roadways.

Limit flushing, running dishwashers, laundry and any other unnecessary use of water. If you have a sewer backup, please contact the Utilities Department at (954) 390-2190.

City crews are regularly out in the streets cleaning storm drains, but they will flood during historic rainfall events like the one we are experiencing. Be patient; once the rain subsides, the water will recede in the drains.
