While I was in Palm Beach, I had a day of design on Friday. Starting the day at a brunch and book signing at Meg Braff’s shop to see Suzanne Kasler, get her new book and walk around the spectacular showroom. Next I stopped by Danielle Rollins shop next door and was off to lunch with the Design Leadership Network. I walked around some more showrooms and ended the evening at The Colony Hotel for cocktails with Architectural Digest and The Kips Bay Showhouse designers. I’m feeling inspired and refreshed, ready to jump into the week!
Thank you for sharing our mud room in your article. Creating a space that organizes our clients lives while looking great is always the goal. We add thoughtful details like baskets for small items, heated floors for those cold winter days and porcelain tile that looks fabulous and cleans up easily. We love our hard working mud rooms!

We are so excited and really proud of our new website. It truly reflects who we are as a design studio and shows our love of creating livable, beautiful homes for our clients. We are so grateful for the amazing work of Roxanne Hanna and the Hanna Creative team to create our new website. Thanks also to Melissa Mittag for keeping us on track and focused!

Before the full blown photo shoot, we take some scouting shots to get ideas on the best angles of a room and vignettes. It also gives us a chance to see all of the personalization, our client layers, and after we have delivered the interiors to them. It’s always so gratifying to hear how much they love their new home, and all of the ways it supports them in their every day life.
we’re really looking forward to shooting this home to share with you
“Wake up, you sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed…”
Hot pink, soft pink, blush, ruffles and every thing in between…we love creating unique girls rooms complete with a soft, custom area rug to step onto when you plant your first steps of the day.

We’ve submitted two projects for the Luxe Red Awards and ask that you please vote for our projects.
We’re so proud of our projects, they represent thoughtful collaboration with our clients and teams to deliver the homes they envisioned. We’re gratified by the work we’ve done and it would bring us immense happiness to receive an award as the cherry on top.
Thank you for your consideration.

The perfect spot when you want a place to sit and enjoy the piano being played. We love this stylish settee topped off with a perfect piece of art for our clients’ sitting area.
We’re so excited for this project to begin with so many beautiful details and some upcoming beauty from the Kevin Cradock]] incredible workshop. Repost from Kevin Cradock]]

Color and pattern make this library and game room so much more pleasing. The rich red and turquoise colors complement the treasured rug of my clients. It was so interesting to build a color story around the rug, it makes the room really unique.

Beginning the New Year diving right in to our current projects. There’s nothing more exciting than the start of a renovation, we have two beginning this month that we’re really looking forward to.
This principal bedroom in our clients second home in Palm Beach reminds me of the beauty that’s always at the end of the renovation tunnel.

On this first day of 2023, I want to express my gratitude for many things, but most especially to the team that supports me & KRID in all of the design work that we do. These women work hard and are the best cheerleaders I could ever ask for! There are a few team members that are not pictured who also support KRID at being the best that we can be.
We’re very fortunate to do the design work we are entrusted with, and we feel it is a great privilege to work with amazing clients who hire us to create our magic for them.
We’re grateful to have incredible industry partners to collaborate with on our projects. We have some amazing new projects in 2023 and look forward to sharing them with you in the coming months.
I wish everybody a happy, healthy and prosperous 2023! xo Kristen

We had our first snow of the season and all I want to do is sit under a cozy blanket with a warm cup of tea. This sitting room has the perfect spot to relax and watch the snow fall.

Creativity in a design project relates to all details, even stair runners. These are two very different stair runners I custom designed for my clients. Each relating to the home and the homeowners. “This is beautiful” and “this has exceeded my expectations!” bring me great joy, I couldn’t be more grateful for my clients trust in me. The runners are just one element to a bigger master plan but definitely needed their time to shine!
I’ve always loved this bright and colorful condo on Bostons harbor. The blues and greens are playing off the shimmering water right outside the windows. The windows allow for beautifully sun filled rooms creating such a warm ambiance from morning ‘til night.

This once overlooked loft space is now a favorite place to hang with a refresh of furniture and purpose in our clients summer home. It now supports the life my clients want to live when they’re there, they love how relaxing it feels when they arrive. Bringing a second home filled with generations of treasured heirlooms back to life was a real joy to be a part of.

Wishing everyone a happy, relaxing, enjoyable day!
As the seasons start to change and the impending holidays are around the corner, I’m feeling very grateful. I’m fortunate to do what I do and to work with incredible clients, vendors and partners (like our talented architects, artists and builders). The positive creative energy is what makes it all worth it, otherwise why bother, right? I’m also very grateful for my incredible team who supports me and our clients every day, I’m always in awe of your talent.
I can’t think of anything better than gathering around a table for hours telling stories, sharing a meal (no matter if it’s good or bad!) and having a lot of laughs! I’m looking forward to spending time with my family for thanksgiving and hope you all have wonderful plans with those you love.
Beautiful layers of color and patterns create this comfortable living room for my clients in Boston. This room feels cozy and grand at the same time, perfect for a crowd or a quiet moment alone. Let us show you how we can create a comfortable room that supports you and your family
As part of the trip, we were fortunate to have a private tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel after it had closed to the public. Although I was here many years ago, I was in awe of all the beautiful details and materials on the floors, ceilings and walls again. There’s too many pictures for one post so I’ll share more on my stories.
Last nights dinner was at Palazzo Colonna, a private residence, complete with cannonball! What an evening! I loved every minute of it.
I have arrived in Rome for the summit. It will be a week of inspiration shared with leaders in the interior design and architecture profession. I can’t wait for it to start.
Beauty is in the details. Neutral fabrics, elegant frames, mixing classic with modern to give the perfect balance. My hotel has quiet sophistication and elegant charm that feels like the living room in a wonderful home.
Our clients moved from NYC to Brookline and were bringing many pieces they loved. We were able to weave the existing pieces in with new for a personal look. We created a home that reflects them while updating and refreshing for the next phase of their lives.

When my clients started the renovation of this classic Queen Anne style home, they wanted to focus on a more modern style from what they had. After our initial meetings and conceptual design discussions, we were able to refine a look that has a nod to classic lines firmly rooted in a modern aesthetic. Our design process and personal conversations bring out the best for each project. We’re so grateful to help our clients at what is always an important turning point in their lives when designing their new home.
