All Natural Products for a Healthier You! How Natural Grace Products Began
From being sick to being healthy. I started reading and learning about essential oils.
Natural Grace Products began when I was out of work, very sick. For about a year prior I had been kicking around the idea of making soap. I loved soap, all the different feels, textures and most of all the wonderful fragrances. I could not learn enough. I loved the fact that they had healing properties. I read more and more about soap making, but the more I read about it the more I was afraid of i
t. It seemed like a difficult and dangerous hobby to try to begin. I wanted something that was safe enough to let my granddaughter help me with. Then I got sick. I have never like taking antibiotics, steroids, pretty much I hated all medications, so when I HAD to take them, I was not happy. I had quit smoking 6 months earlier, but now I had a lung infection. I couldn't breathe and I had my first asthma attack. I would get winded very easily and had to sit down and catch my breath a lot during this time. Since I have always worked and have to do something to keep from going crazy, I decided to read some more about essential oils and their healing properties. I decided to make some bath salt, so I ordered a few essential oils. I started with lavender. That has always been one of my very favorites, and I couldn't always find the Epsom salt with it at the store. So I started making my own. I learned that some essential oils can help you relax, some can energize you and some can help with other ailments from poor circulation to psoriasis. I learned about other natural ingredients that can also soften skin and heal skin problems and sore muscles. I finally came up with my wonderful bath salt. From that endeavor I decided to make a deodorizing body powder. I started using that instead of the store bought deodorant, since I come from a family where cancer is prevalent, anything I can do to try to avoid the disease the better (hence the quitting smoking.) At first I was afraid to stop the deodorant since I work in a very active job, and I do sweat a lot at work. But although there was some perspiration, there was no order. I have even smelled through the store bought deodorant, so I was very pleased that my powder worked. After more research I learned about other ingredients that also help with the perspiration, and I am working on an all natural deodorant. When I get it right I will be selling it. From there I worked on hair oil. I worked with many girls who had very dry, brittle hair. They put braids in because their hair was so unhealthy that it would not grow. Many of them colored there hair and the chemicals dried their hair. So that was my test. I made my Warm oil treatment and gave it to them to try. I also made one for my sister, who colors her hair quite often, she also teaches Zumba, so she has to wash her hair a lot. Everyone who used it, Loved it! I used the oils specific to help hair, some of which had a very strong smell, but I learned that an equally strong essential oil for fragrance could overcome the strong smell. Focusing on health, I had ordered some herbs to infuse into my oils. When reading more about them, I started learning about teas and more herbs. I learned about how many herbs make great teas and can improve health naturally. So I started putting together some herbs and making teas. I soon found out that some herbs taste really bad. :o( So, through trial and error, more reading, more tasting, more YUKS! More Yums! I finally learned what the herbs taste like, what conditions they can help, and what herbs you need to avoid if you have a certain condition. I am continuing reading and learning and I also make a pretty darn good cup of tea. I have not had to use my asthma inhalers in months, and I am on my way to loosing the weight that I gained after quitting smoking. I feel better and have so much more energy. I am still learning and trying new products, some I have been working on for quite a while and still do not have them up to my standards, but as soon as they are I will be offering them. I want to help everyone feel as good as I do now. P.S. While trying to find a great Christmas gifts for my family, friends and co-workers, I started making homemade extracts. I started with Vanilla, but have added many flavors, they all taste really MMmmm Mmmmm Good.
