Thanks so are we

We are thrilled to be back for our 13th season on Wednesday, 6/1 from 230-7pm under the Riverside Water Tower . Argento Acres , Bailey’s Farm to Home and Old Gaffer's Garden will be joining us with early June produce such as asparagus, beets, peaches, microgreens, rhubarb, assorted berries, assorted herbs, radishes, turnips, lettuce and spinach. We also hope to see some starter vegetable plants to get you going on your own garden.

Finn’s Steak and Eggs Ranch has been a market staple for years. Farmer Sean and Farmer Alex trade off in the booth selling their chicken and duck eggs, as well as beef, pork and chicken. How often do you get access to your actual farmer?

Toni from Scone House Café will be back with her family selling sweet and savory scones. She is more than happy to heat yours up so that you can enjoy it while shopping.

You begged. You pleaded. You asked and asked. Fruit Blend Smoothies is back with us this season with their all fruit smoothies. The lines can get quite long so please be patient. They are worth the wait.

Meredith from Not Just Cookies will be doling out not only their many varieties of cookies but also sweet potato pie and fruit pies. Nuts to Go (Nutstogochi) will be back for their second year roasting nuts on site. You can smell them all the way over by the library!

Nal's Kitchen will be a periodic vendor showcasing her spreads and dressings. Ask her for a sample! John from Breadman Baking Company will be joining us with assorted focaccia, pepper cheese bread, challah, whole wheat bread, fruit cake quick breads, cookies and much more. He will gladly save your favorite loaf as he often sells out. Stop by and ask him how to get on his list so that you get what you want each week.

Young Men's Educational Network (YMEN) is a brand new vendor this season. They grow their own peppers in their 6,000 sq ft urban garden in North Lawndale which are in turn put into their Chicago Hot Sauce.

Dip and Dollop LLC is a business owned by Riverside residents and you can check out their That Red Sauce, Vodka Sauce and Cuban Black Beans. Aunt Diana's Old Fashioned Fudge, another Riverside based business is back after a year hiatus. They will have all sorts of treats priced to make the kids happy. Carey Corn and Hilary's Soapbox are our other two village based businesses. We are thrilled to be able to support our local residents while offering quality products at the same time.
Orland from Fasel Nursery has the best prices around on his plants. He will take special orders so that you get exactly what you need for your yard. If you place a large enough order he will even deliver it to your home on market days.

The guys from Tamales Express will be in their usual spot selling tamales, tacos, guacamole, elote, mangoes and vegan and gluten free pastries. Grab a seat and enjoy the live music. The live music tent is very generously sponsored by Jeff and Sara Baker from The Bakers at Burlington. This week you will find area resident, Ian Leith, playing Acoustic Rock and Americana in the tent. Bring a blanket and plan on staying awhile!

Our friends from the Riverside Public Library will have their weekly scavenger hunt for kids starting on 6/8. Everyone who completes it gets a prize. Stop by and learn more about their Summer Reading Program this summer. Sign up begins on 6/1 which is why they won't be there this week.

The Frederick Law Olmsted Society - FLOS will be in the Community Tent! Stop by the Community Tent and borrow one of our little shopping carts for the kids. We just ask that you return it to the tent prior to leaving the market so that others can enjoy it!

Brand new this season is the local artisan tent which will feature a different area resident selling their art. We will have photographers, woodworkers, jewelers and more. This week you will find Riverside resident, Jane. She has been knitting for 74 years and it shows. She will be selling her lovely baby sets which include a sweater and a blanket as well as large throws, mittens, skirts and more. She will also take custom orders so stop by to find out how to place one for a blanket in your recent high school grads future college colors!
