A beloved local family is going through an unimaginable time after the passing of their sweet baby girl. Many of you know Maddie and her husband Kingsley and by now you’re familiar with their beautiful daughter Sterling. She was born with 1/2 of a heart along with many other medical ailments and spent the majority of her life in the hospital alongside with her amazing parents. This sweet little one has shown a surplus of strength and is an inspiration to many. She has made a truly beautiful impact on us all. As I’m sure you can gather by now, the Raspe family has medical bills as well as funeral costs. We are putting together silent auctions to raise funds for the costs.

This was designed with ⓨⓞⓤ in mind! Having package prices with some a la carte options lays out a more clear list for you. When I was renting my studio and doing everything on my own, nearly every single person scheduling would reach out with questions and confusion. I’d also hear quite often that, “there’s too many options.”... It was definitely time for the salon service menu to be updated. Looking at traditional menus, like the one I had in my studio, not a whole lot has been changed. It’s like a billion a pain carte options to choose from + not everyone knows exactly what to schedule. The most recent updates are probably balayage and maybe a root melt/ shadow/ etc. With today’s a traditional highlight (cost + time) is not going to cut it so with that we made an exciting change! With the salon service menu, we put a whole lot of thought and good energy in to this creation and I hope it helps when scheduling your appointments!

Everything about this is totally my jam.
A little background story... wanted to do an elopement style session and I was of course all about it. The models photographed here had every intention on playing the parts necessary. But, this man you see. He had something else planned.

The day of the shoot arrives. and myself are getting ready for the photos and she mentions it’s her birthday and that her partner has some plans for the day. Little did she know what was to come.

A faux elopement session turned in to a surprise proposal and you can just see and feel the love in the photos from this session 🥰

When choosing a formal style, it’s important to keep the following in mind:
•do you like your hair up or down
•volume
•would you mind if your ears show or not
•will your hair hold
•is this realistic

These are just some of the things that I’ll ask when doing event style consultations. It’s important for me to know the above in order to help find the right style for you.
If you never wear your hair all up or all out of your face because you don’t like it, then I wouldn’t exactly recommend that for your BFF’s wedding day. Keep an open mind while being realistic with your hair and your likes + dislikes. A good consultation is key!

As you know,
this style is my jam.
This gem came in for her senior turnabout looking for something with a bohemian inspiration. I decided to use my 1” marcel iron to begin with a tighter and more textured look while leaving about 1”-2” out on the ends. Being that her hair doesn’t hold super well, starting out with tighter curls + the Control Me thermal protectant will allow her hair to gently settle in to place as the evening goes on.
**the Ultra Freeze spray by was also a big help!**
To add more to this look I incorporated a Dutch fishtail on the other side and mended the 2 braids together to finish the look.

Does your hair still look good aside from the golden/ brassy/ or copper tones? Sometimes a blue or purple shampoo just isn’t enough and that’s when you know it’s time for a toner. It’s the perfect way to maintain your look in between the lightening services.

When we think of this, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
Usually the canvas contains any of the following:
• cheetah spots/ bleach bleeds
• harsh stripes and lines
• damaged hair
• unevenness
& etc.
These cases are much more severe but there’s also a side of transformations that’s less aggressive.

We got rid of some serious length and did a more “lived in” color. Switching from traditional foiling techniques to babylights + balayage will give her a bit more longevity between appointments without the hair looking super grown out.
With the distance between colors being more spread out, I still recommend coming in for small maintenance services like...

My first official day is finally here! 2020 has a hell of a ride in store for me. I’ve started the new year out by leaving Sola and getting back in to the salon life at Moda. I’m beyond stoked for you all to see the renovations and get to know these fellow badass, boss babes I have the pleasure of calling my coworkers!..and the shampoo bowls...omg!

ᴡʜʏ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ɪ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ᴀ ᴛᴏɴᴇʀ?
Someone once asked me what mistake I was covering up by using a gloss.
The reason is usually because after using lightener in your hair, you have a naturally unflattering tone called the 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. It’s that raw, unwanted tone that can look a bit harsh.
During my color consultations I’ll often hear, “I hate the yellow-y color” / “I can’t stand the brassy tones” / “my hair looks yellow-orange”... that’s your 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 shining through loud and proud.
How do I fix that? Well with a 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 / 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬 of course! I’ll formulate specifically to what’s going on and the desired look agreed upon then there ya go! Your hair has officially been toned and most (if not all) of the unwanted pigments are cancelled out...until about 4 weeks later when you start to see warmth coming back 😱 Fear not, you can always come in just for a 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 / 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬 appointment AND you can use toning shampoo + conditioners/masks at home. I highly recommend Fanola No Yellow or Fanola No Orange.

Ｅｖｅｒｙｏｎｅ should be doing this... Most of us have heard this at least once in our lives. It’s legitimate advice so take it girlfriend! (And dudes too). That 1 shampoo is more than likely not enough to truly clean your hair and scalp. The less you wash your hair throughout the week + the more products you use and layer, the more of a reason you need to shampoo several times in one wash! Trust me, you’ll be thankful for this💕
