💜 Meet our newest provider, Dr. Alice Chan! 💜

Dr. Chan has been with our office since December 2023. Read below to learn a little about her!

I’m from Augusta, Georgia and went to Georgia Tech to study engineering before completing medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. I had such a wonderful experience during my pediatrics rotation in medical school that I couldn’t picture doing anything else different with my life. I matched into pediatrics residency at Emory University in Atlanta, and getting more exposure to pediatric cardiology during my time there really solidified my desire to work in this field. After finishing residency, I moved to North Carolina to start my cardiology fellowship at Duke University. I then worked in Greenville for a few years at East Carolina University before relocating to Winston Salem. My husband and I love to travel, so we make a point of scheduling at least one big trip a year. In my free time, I love to read, hike, and occasionally indulge in some movie binges!

We are so happy to have Dr. Chan with our team! She will be seeing any patients with ongoing CHD's, sports clearance, cardiac concerns, fetal echocardiography and much more. She has open availability and is in the office Tuesday-Friday.

🥳 Woot Woot! Happy Healthcare Week to our great team at Pediatric Cardiology! This week we celebrated by having lunch and games as a team and got a visit from the “Woot Woot Wagon” daily, which was a huge hit! We can’t thank our team enough for all they do everyday!

💜 It may be April Fools Day but it’s no joke that we love our fabulous Doctors! For Doctors Day, we celebrated Dr. Sechrist and Dr. Chan last week with flowers, yummy snacks and kind words from their patients! Thank you both for all you do! 💜

💜 Did you know that we perform Fetal Echocardiograms in our office as well? This type of scan is performed best around 22-24 weeks of gestation and is not required for all OB care but recommended based on some of the below indications! This can in most cases detect a cardiac condition prenatally. 💜
