41 years ago today we had a little ceremony 💍, in a little chapel ⛪, with a small reception at my mom and dad's house (now our house)🥂. Someone Wally knew took some pictures, a girl I worked with made our cake and my mom made my dress. My dear friend Julie Matthews Lawson was my maid of honor and Wally's cousin Fred was his best man. It was 76* outside and we both were about to burn up 🌞
For us, it was perfect because it was full of love. Now 3 kids, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law in waiting, 5 grandkids, numerous dogs and cats, some ups and downs, and 41 years later- I would totally do it all over again and not change a single thing! ❤❤😍😍

Here are a few ways you can slow down this season:
~ give back by volunteering at a local organization, baking cookies for your neighbors, or buying a gift for a family in need
~ connect with your community by shopping at local stores; it might take more time, but you’ll experience the sights and sounds of the city while supporting local businesses
~ pick only few activities to do; you don’t have to do them all!
