We will be celebrating emancipation and unity for on Wednesday, June 19. Our office will be closed, and will reopen on Thursday, June 20.

Our Financial Counseling team had a blast at the Piedmont Triad Regional Council Area Agency on Aging's Elder Abuse Awareness Walk, Stroll & Roll this past Saturday.

We had a blast today at the Clayton Homes promo event to bring affordable homes to Winston-Salem. We are here for all your homeownership needs! Thank you to our partners, City of Winston-Salem, NC - Government, Forsyth County North Carolina Government, and Clayton Homes of Winston-Salem.

The Moving Families Forward in Salem Gardens Housing Study Circle has launched a pioneering initiative to address housing challenges, engaging residents and offering compensation for their participation. The community is documenting pressing issues and planning targeted interventions to enhance the quality of life for all members.

The purpose of the study circle is to gather the experience of residents around housing. At the end of the circle residents will have created a community plan around housing.

For the past few week’s thirteen residents have been sharing their experiences with each other and they have developed a list of areas they want to gather more information about around landlord/tenant rights, HUD Guidelines, Section 8 process, homeownership/financial assistance, and other housing resources.

Next week in Session Four- Housing Service Providers will join the group to hear residents experiences, offer resources and find ways to collaborate with the community in their communty housing plan. Some providers will be City of WS, Financial Pathways of the Piedmont,Habitat Forsyth,Cleveland Avenue Transformation Team.

Brief remarks will be given at 11:30 A.M. We will be grilling up a FREE hot dog lunch, showcasing move in ready homes, providing information on affordable housing, homebuyer education, and downpayment assistance. Reflecting on a fun and engaging day last Friday for our Employee Appreciation Outing at ROAR. Our staff is truly awesome. We care for one another and our community.
