Bringing a little piece of the Eiffel Tower home with me!
It was such an honor to hear the Star Spangled Banner and watch the US flag raised after the 5000m last night. Forever grateful to family, coaches, teammates, sponsors, and fans for their support along the way, and to God for providing so many opportunities to compete in this incredible sport.
Congratulations to Marcel Hug and Faisal Alrajehi joining on the podium, and I’m so excited to see and hear a stadium packed with 70,000 cheering fans! I hope the energy carries forward into ever greater availability of parasports. Great job, Paris 2024!
Lastly, so happy that the racers, including my teammate Brian Siemann, involved in the crash at the end of last night’s race were both able to return to the track today!
