MEDICAL MONDAY: It’s also National Heart Month –a time to spread love as well as bring awareness to heart conditions pets can experience, such as valvular disease and cardiomyopathy.
There are various types of heart disease, and some can lead to heart failure. For this reason, awareness and early detection is our greatest defense. During your pet’s wellness exams, we will evaluate your pet’s heart health and detect any cause for concern.
If your pet is exhibiting symptoms, consult your veterinarian. Help us spread awareness by sharing this post! 💙
Did you know that cats all have a unique nose print just like a human’s fingerprint? Check back here for more random and more often helpful pet info!
Much to our dismay, not all cats want to snuggle all the time. Let your cat approach you. Cats will often nuzzle or rub up against you, making it clear they want an embrace or to be petted. For tips on how to show your cat affection visit https://bit.ly/2YCHtC6.
We will be closed today for our monthly staff training from 12 PM to 2 PM. Do you have an animal emergency during this time, call Carolina Veterinary Specialists at 336-896-0902
TOXIC TUESDAY: it is a myth that you should make your pet vomit at home for any accidental ingestion. Always contact us and/or ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center first!
MEDICAL MONDAY: ARTHITIS PAIN IN CATS - We finally have a treatment that is safe and effective. A once monthly injection of Solensia is improving the lives of many cats. Schedule with one of our doctors to discuss if it's the right choice for your cat.
Enjoy the game but remember to keep your pets safe if you’re having a party
As much as we love kittens, so many go uncared for or get killed by predators or vehicles. Help reduce unwanted litters by fixing by five!

Hello, Dolly!!! It's always exciting to see the transformation after a grooming appointment.
TOXIC TUESDAY: Ethylene glycol, the active ingredient in many antifreezes and deicers, is nothing to take lightly. These products can taste sweet which entices our pets to try it. But they are usually highly toxic, causing vomiting, depression, a wobbly walk, kidney failure, and even death. Store these products securely and dispose of them responsibly to prevent exposing your pets and wildlife.
