It was a perfect match; our Hadley sofa from Coley home and a customer’s wood panel library. This kind of makes us matchmakers. 😉

Moments from July. It marked the start of new projects, exciting installations, and our 10th-anniversary sale. Not to mention, it served as a reminder that even in design, the messy phase is part of the process.
We never have a sale but....we will be. We’re freshening things up around here, and we need to clear the floor, so from July 20-27, everything on the floor will be 30% off. Furniture, casegoods, lighting, rugs, pillows, Peacock Alley bedding, candles; everything. Our 10th Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to make those mid-century chairs, vintage travertine dining table or what ever caught your eye a part of your home.
Have it your way. The Casternation Cube, designed by Trouvaille Home, can be any size and any fabric. This simple and sturdy powerhouse has hidden casters allowing for easy movement from ottoman to dining to extra seating for a crowd.

Ready for Company. Our client wanted to update the guest room where the bed was placed in an alcove. We upholstered the walls of the alcove in Verdue, a lush pastoral landscape, from Zoffany to give it a cozier feel and added a vintage headboard with an open back. The lighting solution for the space was pendant lights with cord covers in the same fabric. We our in-house craftsman, Dave, who made custom bedside shelves for that extra comfort.

Several common threads were utilized to integrate the design of the newly renovated kitchen into the breakfast nook of the 100-year-old Arts and Crafts home. The homeowner’s furniture, family heirloom pieces, underwent a transformation with reupholstering in an elegant amethyst velvet and woven plaid, harmonizing with the captivating wallpaper from Mind the Gap, which was also incorporated in the kitchen.
Kitchens should be designed about what’s important. When a busy physician with a love for cooking was ready to renovate the kitchen in her 100 year-old Arts and Crafts home we focused on her cooking needs, organization and of course, style. The wallpaper, Asian Fruits and Flowers Florilegium from Mind the Gap, complimented the architectural elements of the home while also serving as the gateway to two-tone cabinetry in Melted Brie and custom Deep Cranberry.

The Perfect Bench. The beauty of this simple piece is that at 54” long it only requires 2 yards of fabric so it’s the perfect way to show off the pricey fabric you just can’t live without. The 1” Lucite panels are incredibly sturdy and the contemporary clean lines are a fabulous foil with decorative antiques. Can be customized to any length and delivered in 3 weeks.

During the height of Covid we had the pleasure of designing our own favorite bar in town, Eastern Standard. We had a hard deadline from the client for the opening date. At the time, not a single upholstery manufacturer could deliver the commercial grade swivel barstools we needed so we designed them and made them right here. The 360 degree swivel and brass footplates on all four stretchers help make this design bullet proof. The curved open back is comfortable, elegant and functional, creating an instinctual point of contact for ease of movement.
Who knew this design would become our best selling bar stool for residential properties as well?
We love a good party 🥂

The dog, the myth, the legend, Henry has been immortalized with a portrait by the infamous Chip Holton. This gift from will be treasured forever.
This is the bottom floor of a large 3-story traditional home. While it does have french doors and a wall of windows it tended to be dark and seemed a bit of a forgotten space with so many competing living areas in the house. Now it's everyone's favorite. Because it was the 3rd living room we were doing, our client was bold and let us add some seriously contemporary pieces. The tension between the antique french game table and chairs and the Jonathan Adler lamps is so fun. The dark yet bright floral embroidery of the window treatments, the splashes of nearly fluorescent magenta, the blue and O&L gold metallic wallpaper, the cozy Tomlinson sectional, and gorgeous paintings by . This forgotten space is now the party room.
Continuing from our previous post we leaned heavily on the green of the foyer wallpaper to make a lovely transition to the always visible living space. Very often when clients see fabric, wallpapers and floor coverings all together they express concern about things being too busy or too colorful. Here is the result of lots of color texture and variation of scale all in one space. A casual and traditional home that is fresh and youthful. Though the room has four sets of french doors they face north onto a heavily wooded landscape. Beautiful view. No light. The riotous color was the only option to brighten the interior.

Making a cohesive statement in a transitional style, multi-level foyer that is bigger than the average apartment. The only way was 1656 square feet of classic Le Touches wallpaper from Brunschwig & Fils. The client wanted casual and traditional so we added gold leaf faux bamboo table lamps to the mid-century Serge Roche style console we found both the wallcovering and the console add curves to the extremely geometric layout.
