Forsyth Peer Support Development Group
We are a group of local area peer supporters who have lived through life-altering changes related to trauma, mental health changes, and/or substance use challenges. We are thankful that through faith and hard work, we have regained well-being in spite of those experiences. We believe that our life lessons are valuable and that together, we can help our local community become a healthier and happier place to live. This group aims to 1) support each other to manage our own well-being as we support our peers toward optimal mental health 2) promote continued education to improve skills so we can effectively empower others toward healing, growth, and resilience and 3) build collaborative relationships with other people-helping agencies and groups to foster solutions in Winston-Salem and surrounding areas.
