Hammocks to Coasters

Headed into Shenandoah National Park for three nights. I may or may not have cell service. Mark knows my itinerary. So if I don’t check in before Saturday, just know that’s why. We are on our way to Florida from Maine, vlogging along the way. However although this current KOA is awesome, WiFi as well as cell service is weak. Therefore I will still release Day One today, but it’ll be up later than usual.

Happy Saturday everyone!
It’s been an odd emotional last week in Maine. Very few people in my life truly understand, but that’s okay. Some chapters just aren’t meant to be understood. By anyone. Even by ourselves. What I do understand, is that both Teddy and I need a bit more of what’s normal for us. Which is adventures and loving life. Being present in the moment and absorbing the fine details of it all. Appreciation for everything and everyone around us. Sebastian is almost packed, tomorrow we start plucking south.
Side note: Teddy’s now very good at pulling up pant legs to dip toes in any water. 🥰

I’m due to have a video release this morning but I’m sorry to say that due to illness, I have been unable to film this weekend. I’m better now but with this being my last week in Maine for this trip, I may do more resting than out roaming, in order to be ready for fun adventures ahead. Therefore not sure if or what I will get out this week. Thank you for patience and understanding. Today’s episode on Hammocks to Coasters on YouTube: our recent visit to Fort Halifax in Winslow, Maine.

Fun Photo Share from our adventures camping at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA on MDI in Maine this past Sunday night. We stayed in a one room primitive style cabin. These at this location are walk in sites, however they do provide wagons to assist with getting your gear to your cabin. The snack shack (themed like a lobster) offered some delicious treats. Teddy loved the kid train rides. It was foggy during our stay but we enjoyed ourselves greatly. If you missed the vlog, I’ll link it in the comments for you to check out. Highly recommend this KOA and we most definitely will return again.

Maine has been fun, rewarding, uplifting; yet also emotional and difficult. It’s time to move on along. A few different game plans have been discussed by our family (Teddy, Mark, and myself). What we’ve decided is that an apartment in Florida will come about probably in January. Until then, Teddy and I (and Lucy) will adventure our way to Florida (leaving Maine on September 1), hang out in Florida for a bit, Mark will fly to Florida in October. Vacation a week as a family, then drive back to Texas as a family. Spend November and December in Texas. With possible adventures to Arizona and California during that time. Stay tuned! Lots of brainstorming going on!! Hope everyone reading this is doing well 💜
