6 bed Assisted Living Home is looking for a caring and compassionate person that enjoys loving and caring for our seniors. Just like living at home you will help in the preparing of meals 3x daily with snacks in between, light housekeeping and assisting the residents with their ADL's(Activities of Daily Living). Not all require direct caregiving as we try to keep a good balance in the home. A typical day is from 7am-9pm but actual caregiving typically averages no more than 6 hours spread throughout that time. All residents sleep at night. You rest when they rest. Each resident has a scheduled laundry day so that no caregiver is doing more laundry than the other. We encourage activities and cognitive stimulating activities with the residents they all enjoy a good conversation. Owner/Administrator is very hands on and can train on site. Not requiring years of experience but the knowledge and understanding of caring for elderly persons.
Requirements:
1. Have a valid/good Level II background screening (Will Reimburse after 90days)
2. Must be CPR Certified & First Aid.
3. Must have your 6hr Florida Assistance with Self Administration of Medication Med Tech Certificate (Can provide & train if needed will reimburse after 90days)
4. PPD (TB Negative) (current) & a Physical Clear of Communicable Diseases letter (PPD test reimburse after 90days)
4. Food Safety, HIV & Aids certificate, Alzheimer’s certificate, & up to date CEU’s (preferred not required can train and Provide courses)
Shift/Position:
Weekends:
Friday 10am-Monday 10am
(Shift start time 10am-end time following 10am (24hr)
1099* or W2 options.

Today we had an AMZING guest today sing for our community.🎤🎶🎸
The residents were mesmerized by the guitar and his voice. One resident said it almost brought tears to her eyes how beautiful the music was.
PS this gentleman is in his early stages of cognitive impairment and goes to dialysis 3x a week! Yet, music sparks a light in him and you’d never know.

Our Story...
In my eyes my mother was whitty, popular, strong willed, go getter, businesswoman. She is everything I only hoped I can half be. As a A first-generation Cuban immigrant, she built her own thriving business as a translator in Orlando. Every day, she put aside her work to take me to and from school. I participated in every after-school program I could, including varsity Lacrosse. No matter what time I finished, she’d be there. We’d sing old-school ballads like “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers because we both loved the movie “Ghost.”
My mother cared for me every day of my childhood and beyond. When she could no longer take care of herself, I wanted to make sure her caretakers gave her the same love and dignity she always gave me.
I started to search for and visit assisted living facilities. I asked questions that were important to me, and spokespeople gave me partial answers – or sometimes didn’t answer my questions at all. I did not feel comfortable leaving my mother, whom I love deeply, under someone else’s care when every option left me feeling confused and frustrated. I felt like the assisted living facilities couldn’t deliver what they promised in their marketing materials.
The profound impact of that experience prompted me to create something better. That’s why Marie’s Manor was born, as a namesake for my mom.
