Jesus meets and shows Himself to us and opens our eyes so that we can see and know Him. He encourages us to go together as we learn to know Him more.

This is the last Thursday before back to school for our teachers and students? Come have a dinner before the school traffic picks back up!

We are happy to report that two Table regulars, Alex and Shawn, are moving forward to stable living conditions.

We have been able to get to know each of these men very well over the years. Thanks to the help of The Table and our generous supporters, we have been able to help them get stable housing, and reliable income. Congratulations to these two men and may the Lord continue to bless them!

We aren’t meant to go through life alone. Jesus knew that His friends would need one another to overcome the power of evil, so he always sent them to work with partners. At The Table we support, encourage and help one another. None of us do any of this alone - we depend upon one another.

Take a break from your Olympics viewing and have a gold medal-winning dinner tomorrow night!

Ever feel that what you have to offer is not enough? Do you see what others can do and shrink back because you can’t give the same? Jesus doesn’t look at the quantity of what we give but He looks at our hearts. He sees and treasures those who turn to Him and give with a willing and joyful heart.

Jesus surprises His friends when He notices a poor widow who gives a very small amount. He praises her because she gives out of her love for God. The small gift given in praise and love has more value in the eyes of Jesus than the gift from the excess of the rest of the givers.

Today at The Table we celebrate Juneteenth, a day where the last enslaved people on a remote island in Galveston, Texas in 1865, received the news that they were finally free. This was almost 100 years after the Declaration of Independence established this country, and more than 2 years after Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation went into effect.

Are you waiting for something good to happen? Do you hope someone will love the real you - especially once they know the real you? Jesus wants you to know that you don’t have to wait any longer or search any further. He is here for you. He knows everything that you have done and He loves you. You don’t have to wait any longer - He’s already here.

Do you want to serve Jesus? Do you look forward to being welcomed by Him? Dedicated followers of Jesus are deliberate about how they serve Him. They look forward to His coming. They do more than talk about Him, they put their service into action. Just as we Floridians are directed to prepare for hurricane season, so are the followers of Jesus told to prepare for His return by serving and caring for others.
