Since 2021, we've celebrated Oregon’s Bottle Bill with a Hidden Bottle Hunt, and we're doing it again!

From July 3-7, we'll share clues that lead to six commemorative bottles across the state, all in special places the Bottle Bill helps keep litter free.

Participation is simple: follow the clues and hunt for the bottles! It’s even more fun to team up and hunt with friends and family. If you’d like to get notified by email that the clues are live each day (10 am), sign up at bottledrop.com/hunt!

To celebrate, we're unveiling this year's commemorative bottle, which is inspired by beautiful sunsets on Oregon’s coast and comes with ocean and sunset vibes, and the state motto—She Flies with Her Own Wings—on the back!

Never too young to make a difference, so keep it up, Smith!

Posted by Cat's Meow Cat Rescue • This amazing boy is a huge supporter of Cat's Meow Cat Rescue and the son of one of our awesome foster families. Smith collects bottles and cans to support the kitties and is so pleased and proud to take them to the recycling center. Not only does Smith assist financially, he does amazing work socializing kittens and helping to get them ready for adoption.

We are so pleased to have Smith and his mom Leah as a part of our CMCR team.

"Can I return crushed or flattened containers?"

No. Broken, flattened, and crushed containers should never be put in Green or Blue Bags, and the containers won't go through our self-serve return machines.

Crushed and flattened containers are redeemable for a hand count at the Customer Service counter at our Redemption Centers though.

Cap confusion? We've got you covered!

You can leave those caps on! All of those bottles and caps both get recycled here in Oregon.

Pro move: empty those bottles and screw the plastic cap back on the bottle before returning. This helps the materials stay together while sorted and processed for recycling!
