On Monday, as a nation, we will honor the members of our armed forces who have given their lives in service to our country. Yesterday, I joined Garrison Commander COL. Joseph V. Messina, Garrison Command Sergeant Major CSM Garth D. Newell in paying tribute and honoring those service members and their families at Fort Belvoir.
Today, I had the honor of ringing the bell at Pohick Episcopal Church, celebrating the church's 250th anniversary. Pohick Episcopal Church is the home church of George Washington and George Mason, located at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Old Colchester Road, across from Fort Belvoir.

On this day a year ago, the Supreme Court’s Decision Draft was leaked in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. I vividly remember telling my boss that I needed to protest and drove to dc to stand in solidarity with flood of people at the courthouse!
