I got a sneak peek of David and Goliath’s dress rehearsal today! The children have worked so hard and it’s amazing how far they’ve come in 2 weeks under Kathy Lundgren’s direction! Make sure you catch it at this Sunday’s service!

SummerScience is off and running! We are exploring different habitats around the world! Today we studied rainforests by making a snack that mirrored the layers of a rainforest and looked for rainforest creatures hidden in our classroom! We had clipboards showing us who to look for!🦎🌺🌴🌳🐒

The school year is at an end! We were able to come together and celebrate the hard work, dedication,and talent of these fine educators! It has been a pleasure!! Until we meet again 🎶 “We wish you well!”🎶

Join us in celebrating Mrs. Stephanie Andrews! Mrs. Andrews began with St. Matthew's in 2008. For the last 16 years she has been a constant in our school community. She was essential in developing and implementing our Lunch Bunch program, where her attention to detail and obvious passion for early childhood education made the program a great success! It is hard to imagine a St. Matthew's without her. Please join us in wishing her all the best on her next great adventure, RETIREMENT! Thank you Mrs. Andrews for your years of dedication to the children. We are proud to have worked alongside such an incredible example of an early childhood professional. We are even more thankful to call you friend.

Last day of school fun! Thank you all for a wonderful year! We are so thankful that you allowed us to be a part of your child’s life. We hope they will carry with them the many things they learned this year, and every once in a while, remember there are people here that love them and wish them well!

🚒 Beep Beep! Veterans Memorial Park staff invites your family to a fun community event. Join us on Saturday, April 13 to get up-close with police cars, tractors and a variety of trucks and other vehicles! Touch-A-Truck is more than all-things trucks! There will also be food trucks, as well as interesting and fun vendors, yard games and more!

While phrases like "Use your words!," "You're okay!," "Say sorry!," "We don't do that! (or "No thank you!")," and "Good job!" are commonly used and well-intentioned, they may not always be the most effective options for young children.

These phrases are often vague, dismissive, or counterproductive, lacking in providing specific guidance or fostering meaningful communication. Therefore, it's important to provide the tools children need, including alternative approaches that promote deep understanding, encourage problem-solving, and empower children to navigate their environment with greater confidence and connection with others.

Camp Firelight Vacation Bible School Invites Kids to Put Their Trust in God!

Join us for Camp Firelight June 17th - 20th. 9AM to 12 noon. 3-year-olds (toilet trained) through rising 6th graders.

Our Vacation Bible School this summer will invite children on an exciting journey where they learn to trust God no matter what situation life brings, to know God is always with them, and to feel confident in sharing the good news of God's love through Jesus Christ.

Our VBS theme Bible verse is "Whenever I'm afraid, I put my trust in you." (Psalm 56:3)
