We’re hiring! Dillon Music has an opening for a full-time (40 hours) Woodwind Repair Technician. The position includes full medical (health/dental), retirement plan and paid time off. High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School Degree preferred. Lots of Brass events this week! We will be exhibiting for the first time at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. With us will be our Euphonium Artist James Jackson III as well as Tubist Brent Harvey, local professor and performing artist here in North Carolina, both performing at the conference. We will have our full line of Tuba, Euphonium and Baritone mouthpieces and in collaboration with Dillon Music we will be premiering James's new signature mouthpiece! Accompanying our mouthpieces will be some wonderful Adams Brass Euphoniums and Tubas. Stop by, meet our Artists, and try some great gear!

We recently received several interesting French horns in the shop.
The first is an original Carl Geyer horn with a Ron Pinc leadpipe and detachable bell (cut by Siegfried’s Call). This is a great chance to own a piece of history and all-around terrific horn, with all the reconditioning already completed.
Additionally, we have an unlacquered Schmid double horn with a spun, medium bell and many Yamaha horns including a 871UD, 871GD, and multiple 671Ds.

It is a great time to pick out a piccolo trumpet at Dillon Music! We recently received two Mahillon piccolo trumpets in silver plate: one long bell and one short bell. Additionally, we have a mint condition short bell Mahillon in raw brass and a Selmer piccolo trumpet in lacquer.

We have demoed numerous cases and gig bags from premier manufactures such as: Altieri, Fusion, and Soundwear. These are new-old-stock cases with very little to no wear. Visit our website over the next few days for some terrific deals!

This just in at Dillon Music: The Tom “Bones” Malone Collection.

Bones has consigned several rare instruments with us including several New York Bach trombones, Mt. Vernon/Corporation Bach trombones, and an early Mark VI Bari Saxophone. All New York Bach trombones include a signed letter from Bones.

For those not in the know, Bones was a long-time member of the Late Show with David Letterman and Saturday Night Live bands. He was the featured trombonist in The Blues Brother movie and can be heard on thousands of recordings as a studio musician. Bones is a noted multi instrumentalist. You can see him in one of the photos below playing Bari Sax with the Late Show with David Letterman.
