I’m going to be honest with y’all, this post is for ME too! 😢🥺😩

Looking back on this past year, I’ve realized that I haven’t been putting in the work to reach my hair goals I had set for myself. Granted, I’ve had 2 trims this year and my hair has definitely grown from what I HAVE made an effort to do… butttt, I haven’t been sticking to my consistent routine that I outlined back in March.

I was SUPPOSE to have been washing my hair every other week, deep conditioning w/steam, oiling/massaging my scalp 2-3 times a week, braiding or twisting it, etc., and I definitely didn’t do the work to see the results I wanted to see 😒

Slow progress is still progress and YES I’m thankful that my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been since the start of the creamy crack , but so much more could have been done on my part.

Life got hectic and the the first thing to go was my Self care!

Here’s the thing: I know Naptural Queen’s products work. But for the last few months I’ve been relying solely on that and that ain’t it!!

So instead of talking about it and telling others what to do, it’s time to practice what I preach!!

THIS IS A REMINDER TO BOOK YOUR NEXT TRIM, SIS!

Trimming is essential to healthy natural hair and length retention and should be done every 3-4 months…depending on the health of your hair of course. If you’re taking care of your hair as you should, then you may be able to get away with doing a trim every 6-8 months.

Y’all better stop holding onto them dead ends for “lEngTh” 😒🙄 especially if you’re putting your hair into a protective style!
If you’ve been to me before , you know I will ALWAYS show you the condition of your hair and recommend where I suggest we cut for optimal hair health. HOWEVER, I will not cut more than what YOU are ready to let go. If you go less than what’s recommended, I will advise you to trim a little more over your next few appointments until all the dead ends are gone . BUT again, it’s always your hair, your choice… I just want to help it flourish 😌

Y’all remember them tight, heavy faux locs we use to do back in the day? Hell, I use to do them too and send my clients on their way like it was okay 🤫

It took me forever and a day to teach myself how to loosen my grip on those, and while it got better… I still had some clients who would be in pain for a few days. 🥺
