“Holy habits are that: the disciplines, the routines by which we stay alive and focused on Him. At first we choose them and carry them out; after a while they are part of who we are. And they carry us.” Mark Buchanan
“Outside of the will of God, there is nothing I want. And in the will of God, there is nothing I fear.” A. W. Tozer.
“There is no conceivable situation in which it is not safe to trust God.” J. Oswald Sanders.
“We are not always responsible for the circumstances we are in, but we are responsible for the way we allow those circumstances to affect us; we can either allow them to get on top of us, or we can allow them to transform us into what God wants us to be.” Oswald Chambers.
“Lord, catch me off guard today. Surprise me with some moment of beauty or pain so that, at least for the moment, I may be startled into seeing that you are here in all your splendor, always, and everywhere, barely hidden, beneath, beyond, within this life, I breathe.”Frederick Buechner
“Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter every day epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.” John Milton.
“If there is no passionate love for Christ at the center of everything, we will only jingle and jangle our way across the world, merely making a noise as we go.” William Wilberforce.

“God Almighty first planted a garden. And indeed, it is the purest of human pleasures.” Francis Bacon These words came to mind a few days ago when I helped our son, Kevin, plant some bulbs around his house. And if God can create beauty from these bulbs, what do you think He can do through us!?!

“Nothing paralyzes our lives like the attitude that things can never change. We need to remind ourselves that God can change things. Outlook determines outcome. If we see only the problems, we will be defeated; but if we see the possibilities in the problems, we can have victory.” Warren Wiersbe
"Do not assume that divine guidance flows only when you are in need of help. Guidance continues to flow whether or not you have problems. It transcends problems, heartbreaks, and traumas. Whether guidance comes during times of tranquility or trauma, however, it is up to you to have the courage to acknowledge it." Caroline Myss
