It's Christmas in July at the Mews!
What a joyous time we all had celebrating this fun summertime theme. Santa came with sand bucket in hand and passed out some yummy salt water taffy!

Cruising Down The Maurice River!
What a picture perfect day it was as we took a leisurely scenic ride down the Maurice River, with Captain Dave in Millville N.J.
Residents enjoyed a picnic lunch as they looked at all of the beautiful nature and wildlife along the river. Of coarse there were the anticipated majestic Bald Eagles in the trees, nests and also in flight.
We are looking forward to another return trip in the fall to see the magnificent autumn foliage.

"Our 2nd Annual Juneteenth BBQ!"
Residents enjoyed a delicious BBQ, along with a variety of themed programs to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday.
Juneteenth is now a federal holiday that celebrates one of the most significant events in U.S. history, the end of the Civil War and the emancipation of Black Americans.

Discovery University Class "Cooking with Chad"
Our Chief of Dining Operations Chad did another wonderful culinary presentation for our Town Center folks. Chad made a flavorful Bruschetta served on toasted Baguette bread that was scrumptiously enjoyed by all.

It is with pride and gratitude that we remember our Veteran's, this Memorial Day and every day, for their sacrifices that protect the freedom that our country was founded on...
What a honor it was to have our local American Legion do their annual gun salute this morning at the Mews.
Residents gathered together to watch as our Veterans from Post 113 led us in an opening prayer, followed by the firing of the guns. Many tears were shed during the playing of taps by their bugler...
We finished up the afternoon with a moving performance by one of our favorite entertainers, Tenaj!

Discovery University A.R.T. Class with Anna
Participants enjoyed this class very much, this month, which had a patriotic theme to it. The American flag, with a shadow of America's land image was chosen to honor those brave men and women who served and died for our country.
The class did a spectacular job with their pieces, each unique in nature. You can see many of the artwork created in this monthly program proudly displayed outside of each participants apartment.

What an extraordinary Mother's Day it has been at Woodbury Mews! We celebrated our beloved mothers with a lovely Afternoon Tea Party for our Inn & Gardens ladies on Wednesday, followed by a beautiful brunch on Mother's Day for our ladies in the Town Center. We were delighted to have the talented Tom Evans perform at both events, as his expertly curated collection of melodies perfectly complemented the occasion. Choosing songs that harmonized seamlessly with the mood, Tom enriched our celebrations with a refined musical experience that truly elevated the spirit of Mother's Day. Love and appreciation radiated throughout our community as we honored the incredible mothers who bring love, warmth, and joy to our lives every day. We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

Look Who's Turning 100!

Ruth was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Ruth was a local gal and was raised in New Jersey. She graduated from Audubon H.S. with honors and was a star member of their field hockey team.
She married her husband Mike in 1946 and together they raised 4 children. Ruth enjoyed many hobbies and remains vibrant, active and sharp minded at 100 years young!
Residents, Woodbury Mews Team members, and many of Ruth's family gathered together to help her celebrate this historic occasion.
A special shout out to our Celebrations Team members , Sabrina, Barb & Deanna, who did an outstanding job with the decorations and preparations!

Phillies Game & Grand Opening of our Game Room Area!
What a great turn out we had last Friday evening to kick off the official opening of our new game room area.
Residents gathered to watch our Phillies take on the Pirates and to try out our newly refurbished antique pool table .
Even though the Phil's lost, a grand time was had by all..

Easter Crafts with Anna. Residents crafted adorable Easter plaques to display on their apartment doors for the holiday. They were all very unique and creative!

Claudia Pelegrini performed a spectacular Irish Violin program for two packed audiences yesterday. Everyone enjoyed it so much and look forward to her performances every year!
The Irish Dancers for the Jordan Hunt School did an outstanding show as well for our folks.
On St. Patty's we enjoyed a new set of entertainers that performed some fun Irish tunes along with other music memories. They were awesome and we can't wait to have them return!
Our dining director Chad also had a great cooking class preparing a delicious Irish Risotto!

Getting in the Mood for March!
Residents created the most adorable leprechaun paintings at Anna's WU Art class.
We just love seeing all of the talented & creative paintings our residents create. Everyone is looking forward to all of our special March programs this year. We can't wait to see the Irish Dancers & the wonderfully talented Claudia Pelegrini perform her Irish Violin performance. Both programs have become largely anticipated yearly events!

Everyone had such fun! Our drummer Greg Albert always brings down the house with his jazzy New Orleans style performance at our Fat Tuesday parties.
We did miss our Eagles this year at Super Bowl, but still had fun cheering on the other teams.

"Valentines Day at the Mews"
Love is always in the air at the Mews, but it is especially when it's Valentine's Day.
Some of our folks enjoyed several fun, as well as tasty, Watermark University cooking and craft classes this Valentines Day.
Anna's Behind the Stove class made delicious Moscato soaked chocolate covered strawberries, while Sabrina's Making it with Mag craft class created adorable Ice Cream Sundae novelties for participants to display in their rooms.

Anna also created a magnificent exhibit of our married couples who reside at the Town Center, with their wedding and current photos displayed. She also included a beautiful and heartfelt poem that she herself wrote and recited for them. The participants got a kick out of watching a hilarious snippet of the classic "I Love Lucy" episode with Lucy & Ethel at the candy making factory, that added the perfect finishing touch of humor to complete Anna's candy making class!
