A Special Announcement
See you Saturday or Tuesday.
Heads up!
A reminder that at 10 p.m. tonight, Friday, the SR 520 bicycle/pedestrian trail across Lake Washington closes for 15 days around-the-clock until 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2.
This is a big closure for anyone who uses the trail to get across the lake and we recognize how disruptive this will be. We’re rebuilding a portion of the trail near the new bike and pedestrian bridge and securing some utility vaults just below the trail and there's no way to safely do this while also maintaining access to the trail. We will keep working with the contractor to find ways to expedite the work and compress the closure as much as possible.
For more information, including a map and how to stay updated, please check our comment section.
We hope you enjoy friends family and bicycles. See you Saturday!
Join us June 10, for a group ride.
If your in chelan or near there. Register and race.

Speaking with Cycling Weeklys North American reporter Anne Marije Rook - van der Poel said "I can think of no better race to get me ready for the tour in July. And the word in the peloton is that this race has the best beer garden in North America. What's not to love!"

OK, NW cross riders, we are going to have race on Nov 27 that will be called the Tim Rutledge GP. Why Tim ?--well lets take a walk back in history to the mid 80's and the state, or lack of state in NW cyclocross. There was a very early set of cross races, in the 70's, run very informally around the Seattle area and they really had no influence on the progression of cross in the NW. Oregon had a better established and consistent series during this early period. The Puget Sound area had the start of a series sometime around the mid 80's, the races truly were the poster child of " jungle cross" and lead to a saying of " it's just cross" characterized by unridable, dangerous and poorly laid out courses. The hazard of having non-racers design courses. The prime example of this was exhibited by the infamous waist deep mud bog at the first Bremerton nationals. "Dog and Pony" was the theme of these races. In the mid 80's Tim Rutledge relocated to the Seattle are after spending some time racing in European cross races and he brought the idea and philosophy of how to design and put on a much, much better series of cross races. The light switch was turned on and inspired by Tim. One of the early hurdles to the early cross scene was equipment, What was a cross bike ? In those days most of the riders were racing a modified road bike that had canti brakes brazed on, chainstays dented to fit a wider tire and built by well meaning but miss-informed builders. A lucky few found a way to purchase an Alan, which at the time was a true european cross bike. Tim at the time was working for Redline, which was a mainly BMX supplier. Tim decided to get Redline on board the cross train and market a mass produced aluminum cross bike designed on a european geometry. In collaboration with Control Tech, Tim, Wick and the welders at Control Tech started
the beginnings of an affordable, mass produced cross bike, and like they say the rest is history. The NW cross scene benefited greatly from the input, inspiration and course design that Tim contributed to. Recognize the founders and celebrate Tim

This is the new bike from BMC Switzerland gravity division. SCOR 4060 ST (150/140) GX. You can swap fork and rear shock and flip a couple bolts and you are 160/170 This bike is FUN & tune-able. It boosted my confidence in some sticky situations and kept me upright where my destiny was to kiss the dirt. This bike makes you want to get out and play in the woods. More to come as we progress.
Both woodinville and Westside have bikes on the floor. You won’t be disappointed.
