Next up: meet Anne! Born & raised in the Phillipines, Anne has spent the last 4 years as a graphic designer and brings all of her creative talents to AWD as our Executive Assistant. Anne has been working with us for the last 3 months - keeping us organized and leveling up our design presentations. She enjoy relaxing with a good book or Netflix and loves brainstorming new ways we can showcase all of our projects. We can’t wait to showcase more of her work on the gram soon!

The AWD Team has grown this year and we think it’s finally time to introduce you all to the faces behind the designs. First up - Meet Katie! Katie joined the team earlier this year as Design Assistant and she’s absolutely killing it! Jumping right in with an eagerness to help with anything and everything we throw her way, she brings fresh ideas, her positive attitude and a passion for all things design. On a personal note, Katie’s favorite way to spend a sunny day is playing baseball in the yard with her husband and 3 kids…but she’s never far from a great cup of coffee or glass of wine. 😉 Her favorite space to design is the kitchen - she loves adding a pot filler statement piece behind the range! This small town girl at heart grew up in Northern Nevada in a town of only 2,000 people and now resides in Bothell. We are so lucky to have you on our team Katie!!!

Taking a moment to unveil the Den at our project in The Wedge neighborhood in Woodinville and then I’m running into to this sunny weekend with open arms! We cozied up this space with custom swivel chairs and coastal inspired tables to complement the grass cloth wallpaper. Elevated but approachable, that’s what we’re all about! Comfortable spaces where you can live your life whether you’re curling up with a good book, taking a quick work call, enjoying a great conversation with friends or kicking back for family game night. We’ve got you! 🤍

The beauty is in the details, and “his” side of the wet room at our English Hill project has it all. Shower valves on the entry wall allow for him to start the water flow before entering. We’ve also added body sprayers, a handheld sprayer, and a shaving niche with a heated fog-free mirror above. How can we help elevate your home? Get in touch, we’d love to transform your spaces.

Rub a dub dub, who wants to take a bubble bath in this tub? We had a lot of fun designing this bathroom for 3 growing boys! Navy penny tile accents and a second shower opposite the tub elevate this kid’s bath in a big way.

There’s something about a good rain storm…crack open your windows today and breathe in that fresh air! It may not look like it outside, but Spring is right around the corner.

Transformation Tuesday is my favorite day! Check out our English Hill primary bath and swipe 👀 for the before ->. We took the varying height L-shape vanities and reconfigured the space to a single wall with powder blue wallpaper, custom cabinetry featuring a hair tools pullout, small drawers for cosmetics, hidden outlets in the uppers and motion activated toe-kick lighting. The beautiful mosaic marble floors are heated and there’s an expansive, all marble wet room featuring dual showers and stand alone tub on the opposite wall. More on that half of the room on another day. 😉

Do I really get to help people transform their homes to live more beautifully? I am so honored and humbled I get to do this job every day. Good design isn’t just for grownups, we’re here to make your kid’s space more functional and beautiful too! We jumped at the chance to bring in this custom colored triple faucet trough sink so our client’s 3 little boys didn’t have to fight over who was brushing their teeth first. 😆 We carried the ‘elevated locker room’ vibe throughout this project, giving them a wet room with dual showers, built in lockers and a urinal of course. Unveiling our incredible English Hill project this week starting with the dining room! A showstopper just off the entryway, we think the hydrangea wallpaper with coordinating chairs adds the perfect granny-chic vibe. 😍🤍 Who’s here for the tea? We can’t wait to spill it all! 😉

Brightening up your Tuesday with our House of Color dining room! The client’s only requests: give them BOLD pops of color and keep it mid-century modern. We love how fun these rainbow boucle dining chairs look paired with the sleek walnut pedestal table. Would you be so bold?

Transformation Tuesday is my favorite day! Swipe -> to see what our House of Hass project looked like before, both photos are taken from the same angle. ☺️ The old kitchen is now the dining room with a beautiful wall of 20’ sliders opening to the pool as well as a custom built-in buffet complete with panel ready “hidden” beverage & wine fridges, ice maker and plenty of storage for entertaining. The old family room became the new kitchen and we’re still swooning over the custom hood.

While warm woods are definitely coming back to kitchens, we will always love an all-white kitchen. It’s easy to add a little personality with mixed metals, a bold color on the island cabinetry or a beautiful pantry door. 🤍 Are you a fan of all white or loving wood kitchens?

It’s the little things in good design that can make a big difference in the daily function of your space. By adding a low niche for products, which also doubles as a ledge for her for shaving - we were able to keep the shampoo bottles out of the bathroom vanity mirror reflection. Swipe —> to see how clean that shower wall looks in the mirror. ☺️ We also added a fog-free heated shower mirror for him for shaving above. 🤍

There’s just something about the simplistic beauty of mid century modern design. Our House of Color project brought in bold pops of color in the living and dining rooms, but we opted for sleek white barstools to complement this stunning kitchen.

2024 came in HOT 🔥 - it feels like I blinked and now January is almost over! We’ve been busy, busy, busy wrapping up a few projects, adding to our team and kicking off some very exciting new projects this year that we can’t wait to share! It’s Transformation Tuesday and you won’t believe when you swipe to see the before shot taken from the same angle. 😳 Swapped the kitchen & family room locations, enclosed the awkward half wall, added beautiful sliding doors out to the pool. The results are absolutely stunning!

One of our favorite spaces in the House of Color project was this wall of clocks. Our client’s father collects antique clocks and we incorporated three of their favorites to display the current time in Bellevue as well as the cities where each of their children are currently living. We love to make spaces personal, and can help you make yours feel more like home. 🤎

Kicking off the weekend with a little sneak peek of House of Color - our mid century modern project just completed in Bellevue. This project was so fun - our clients curated a very colorful piece of art which was the inspiration for the entire color palette in their home. They LOVE mixing bold colors and were thrilled to incorporate several statement pieces. I must admit, while I’m a neutrals girl at heart - this home was a dream to work on. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

It’s Transformation Tuesday and we spent the morning on site at our Canterwood Estates project in Woodinville working through all of the details on their main floor refresh. Demo has already started and we’re about to bring this new staircase rendering to life! Realistic renderings are so helpful to give you peace of mind in how your design will come together.
