*2022 WINEMAKER’S DINNER: JULY 23RD*

2022 marks the 15th anniversary of our very first vintage - 2007 Les Collines Syrah! This summer and fall we’re planning some amazing events to celebrate, starting with our beloved now-annual winemaker’s dinner held at our (Ryan and Erin’s) home.

This dinner is truly unlike anything else at Kerloo. Ryan partners with a badass local chef (in this case, Josh Henderson of ) to put together a super-creative multi-course menu with Kerloo wine pairings. We sit down together for hours to share it, in the living room or on the deck depending on weather, overlooking the Puget Sound while the sun sets and beyond. You’ll have a unique culinary experience, consume delicious food and wine, learn a lot, make memories and probably a new best friend or two. These are the things that happen over a meal like this…if you’ve attended in the past, tell us what you loved! 🤍

We love to push the envelope with winemaking while maintaining our minimal intervention approach. So last year, we decided to try our hand at the wine-geek celebrated (and fun!) winemaking technique called Carbonic Maceration - often associated with Beaujoulais Nouveau. Whole cluster grapes are sealed off from oxygen until they (literally) burst. 💥
We tried it on our first-ever vintage of Cabernet Franc from Blue Mountain Vineyard, and the result is this gorgeous garnet-tinged wine that’s fresh, fruity, low in tannins and acidity, and meant to be enjoyed young!
Only 42 cases produced of this successful experiment…we can’t wait to hear what you think. Yesterday we announced a fun upcoming event to our email list subscribers, May 20th and 21st in our Woodinville tasting room: Light bites and special wine pours, all to celebrate our warmer-weather Spring releases with the Kerloo community.
We’re calling it the Pink(ish) Party - in honor of our delicate, delicious rosé that’s reminiscent of Provence, and not-quite-pink on purpose. 😉 Just as it’s meant to be.
