Midcentury perfection in this late 1950s or early 1960s cotton day dress. The shape is very unique featuring a stitched dropped waist, but accenting the natural waist with the decorative belt. The dress has darling front button details to attach the matching belt, box pleats, and plastic back zipper. Waist 28 in.

For Day 2: Red, I just had to show off this EXQUISITE ruby red late 1950s/early 1960s brocade evening gown designed by Mellon of California, featuring a delicate leaf design and 3/4 sleeves. She recently sold in the shop♥️♥️

Day 1: Introduction
Head to Sew Vintage features curated 1920s-80s fashion and handmade reproduction vintage styles. The shop strives to help vintage enthusiasts find high quality, one-of-a-kind items to enhance their wardrobes and give as gifts.
I opened the shop in 2015 on Etsy mainly as a way to stop hoarding all the stunning vintage I owned that would never be in my size. 😅 I’ve always had a knack for finding unique pieces and wanted to create a space that not only sold glamorous and rare vintage designs, but put a focus on selling normal day wear that my clients could comfortably wear anywhere everyday.
The eventual goal for my shop is to sew and reproduce some of the stunning designs and patterns I’ve sold, hence its name Head to Sew. I’m currently working on a few projects that will be released in the coming months.
I’m hugely honored to have had some items from the shop purchased by the costumers for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel seasons 4 and 5!
Throughout this challenge I’ll be sharing new items, current items for sale, past favorites and vintage style designs that I adore.
Excited to see everyone’s outfits over the coming month!
