Upstate SC Hearts for Paws Animal Rescue
Nonprofit Animal Rescue in Upstate South Carolina
We would appreciate continued prayers and well wishes for Kane. We just dropped him off with the fine folks at Brevard Animal Hospital where we know he will receive the best care. He will most likely be having his left rear leg amputated along with the tip of his tail, which was also injured. Obviously, if either of these can be saved, that is the route we will go. It doesn’t look likely for either though. Kane is in good spirits and ready for this bump in the road to be behind him.
It’s a !

Update on Copper this morning: She seems to be improving that makes us so happy. She actually acted like she wanted to play a little bit. And her being so young she always loved to play before she got sick. So we are hoping this is going to continue. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated towards her care every bit helps us continue to do what we need to do for other dogs. And we were not going to give up on Copper. So Thank you so much!
Also please continue to say prayers for her to continue to improve. 🙏❤️🐾
Hi everyone
So we just got home from Fetch from picking up Copper.
She is doing a lot better and No longer needs to be in the oxygen chamber. But she is not completely out of the woods yet.
They sent her home with strong antibiotics and instructions. They said she will need to have recheck with X-ray’s in about 2 weeks to make sure her lungs are improving like they should.
I have screenshots of all the medical bills we have paid since Saturday to try and save this sweet baby! That is what we do when we make the decision to take them in and give them whatever care they need. We are a very small rescue and don’t have all the backing that some of these bigger rescues do so we have found ourselves having to ask for help!
No amount is to small!! And all donations are tax deductible. We are a 501c3 Non Profit rescue. And in situations like this we have to ask for help from the public so we can save other dogs and Vet them like they need to be.
So please consider donating if you are able or share if you can’t that doesn’t cost anything.
We are grateful to everyone for being supportive. ❤️

And thank you so much in advance. I will keep everyone updated on Copper and her progress. Thank you
Another video from today with our visit with Copper. She was trying to pull out her IV so they had to put the cone of shame back on her. Poor baby! Hopefully that will all be behind her tomorrow.
We went to see Copper today! She is doing much better. She is now out of the oxygen chamber and her labored breathing has slowed down.
She is coughing up stuff and runny nose.
We are hoping she can come home tomorrow. I will keep everyone updated
Say Hello to Carla!! Carla is available for adoption. She is already spayed, heartworm negative and has been through Obedience training. Carla loves running and playing in the play yard at the shelter and playing fetch. She can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. If your interested in making Carla apart of your family please come visit her at the shelter.
Birdy is available for adoption! Sweet girl is about 45lbs, around 2 years old and is heartworm negative.
From now until March 20th we will not be able to intake and house new dogs. Pet adoption, foster, rescue, and spay/neuter services will be by appointment only. This suspension of dog-related services comes at the advice our medical professionals as a way to mitigate the spread of respiratory illness that is impacting dogs in our community.
Cat-related services will continue by appointment.
For adoption related questions, call or text us at 864-467-3985.

This is the update we just got from Fetch on Copper.
We are so glad to hear she has actually eaten because she wasn’t eating this afternoon.
I will update again in the morning when we here from them. Thank you to everyone that has shared and donated.
Here is the estimate and the balance and what we had to pay tonight.
When we left she was looking so confused but was loooking a little better but she was still in the oxygen chamber.
I asked them to please send me a update as soon as they got her hooked up on antibiotics and got her settled in and they said they would send me a
Pic and update so I will be posting that as soon as they send it to us.
We would be very grateful if anyone was able to help and make a donation towards Coppers bill.
If not we completely understand but there is no amount to small.

So sweet Copper needs all the prayers she can get. We had to take her to ER Vet yesterday and she has Pneumonia.
Her breathing got worse today so we are at Fetch right now with her and she has been put in the oxygen chamber.
We are waiting to see what the next step is going to be to save this babies life.
Anyone that would like to be so kind and donate to her care can send donations to PayPal or Venmo at

All donations are tax deductible.
Yesterday’s bill was right $1000.00 we are not sure what today will be. But we will do whatever we need to save her life is possible. Thank you so much for your support and prayers.
