Our get together was a blast !
Great to meet new Bolivians and get to better know old friends.
As full Bolivians , Quarter Bolivians or those who find home in the culture we need to grow our community in NYC and beyond and bring ALL types of Bolivian Identifying people together to celebrate something that we all have in common...A love and interest in Bolivian culture .
Only in unity can we really move forward and carry the culture to the next level.

Heads up.. we are starting a WhatsApp group for NYC Bolivians .. this will help the local Bolivians connect/share events and get to better know each other.

Our Bolivian Independence Day event is tomorrow!

Why: it’s the ONLY DAY of the year to celebrate Bolivia’s Birthday!
But Seriously Why: there’s amazing Bolivian food plus a new Chicharron de puerco dish with mote and a spicy bright cucumber salad

199 Birthday Years! Every year we throw Independence Day parties we see some of the same people coming which makes me smile cause it’s becoming a Bolivian New York tradition. We see people we have never seen from the community. We see lots of other people who aren’t Bolivian but have a passion for food, culture and a good time. This event IS is a Bolivian Independence Day celebration but it is OPEN TO ALL

It gets messy, but the messier the aftermath looks, the better the meal probably was
Lots of people think chefs live and breathe food but Patrick takes a different approach. He looks at food like a giant mixing board in a studio where spices and ingredients are sounds and controls each ingredient's volume in the “mix”.
Did you know that a recipe with the same ingredients can create countless dishes by playing with the amounts of each ingredient? I didn’t
So lots of places use skirt steak, filet mignon or tenderloin for their piques but we LOVE hanging tenders. Prized by butchers for being one of the tenderest cuts of meat while still being super flavorful - hanging tenders is a cult favorite that only those who know know

We have a TON of sauces. And we realized many of you don't get a chance to learn about them! Our cilantro sauce is a blend of all things savory, herbaceous and bright. Cilantro garlic mayo with capers, aji amarillo puree and parmesan. An egg sammies best friend. A salad dressings dream boat. 💚💚💚
