🇺🇲WWII uncovered: Rudder's Rangers and the Battle of Pointe du Hoc
On D-Day, Lieutenant Colonel James Rudder and his force from the 2nd Ranger Battalion, made up of 225 soldiers, along with Lieutenant Colonel Max Schneider and the 5th Ranger Battalion in support, would carry out the mission to scale these cliffs before dawn and neutralize enemy positions atop Pointe du Hoc. Rudder, who had commanded the 2d Ranger Battalion since its activation on 1 April 1943 at Camp Forrest, Tennessee, was largely responsible for developing the plan for his Rangers on D-Day. Also known as Rudder's Rangers, the men stormed the beach at Pointe du Hoc, scaling 100-ft cliffs under heavy enemy fire to reach and destroy a German gun battery. The battalion's casualty rate for this perilous mission was greater than half. Rudder himself was wounded twice during the course of the fighting.

The media once again twists the narrative....
Commissions will not go away for agents that do provide a valuable service to both home sellers and home buyers. When I started in the business (1994) residential listing commissions were typically 7% and house prices were around $42/Sq ft. Commissions gradually went to 6% or even 4 or 5% (shared) with a Buyer Broker. A 6% Commission is NOT required, nor guaranteed, and has ALWAYS been negotiable. I tell all my buyers, if the seller and selling broker does not cover my fee, we will have to negotiate it. The commissions, just like a buyer's closing cost can be negotiable within the price of the home.
The BIGGER problem here is that big money corporations, such as Zillow, Black Rock Financial, Vanguard, foreign investment companies from Russia and China buying up America and placing homes into investment portfolios to be rented.... buying at over market prices to control (& inflate) the market, making it harder for 1st time home buyers to even enter the market. They are taking away wealth from the middle class. Land owners and many sellers in the last 10 years and local municipality allowing this to happen as well. I tell everyone, if you sell to one of these investment companies, YOU have sold out your grandchildren. It's a shell game.
I know the services I have provided for 30 years are valuable and reasonable. How much are the attorneys making in this lawsuit? 30 % or more?? Should we find a law firm willing to go after the "established" fees they charge? Is this just going to further help the entities that wish to make everyone a renter and no longer be able to achieve the American Dream? What about the VA buyer that barely has the money to cover closing costs or needs that all rolled in to te price of their home and mortgage? It still needs to appraise...
WSB-TV , commissions are negotiable & not going away. You are part of big $$ and the bigger problem. Shame on you!!
