Our team is working on the finishing touches of our Clayton Streetscapes project! Located in Athens, Georgia, the completed project will result in significantly improved street infrastructure for this area of the community.

From installing new stormwater infrastructure, replacing the existing traffic signal system, and completing all new sidewalks, lighting, paving, & landscaping, to converting Clayton street from three lanes to two and more, our team has performed extensive work thus far. Jason has been a great addition to our Port of Savannah Mason Mega Rail project working! Coming on as a Superintendent, his hard work and willingness to jump into new things has made a significant, positive impact on the project. We’re so happy to have him as a part of our Astra family!

“My favorite parts of the job are the people that I work with and the ability to use outside-the-box techniques when problems occur,” said Jason. “This allows our teams and subcontractors to reset, refocus, and accomplish the task at hand.”

Clearing is done on our Western Gwinnett Pathway Expansion job! After completing this task, our crew pushed forward in installing erosion devices, laying storm drain, and building fill areas for the project.

Upon completion, the bikeway will be nine (9) miles long, stretching from South Berkeley Lake Road in Norcross to McGinnis Ferry Road in Suwanee. In addition to creating a multi-use path along that stretch of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, it will include a bridge over Suwanee Creek, curb and gutter improvements, pedestrian signal installations, and drainage improvements.

We're getting ready to wrap up our Milledgeville RC SOAR project for the Georgia Department of Defense, and we couldn't be more proud of how it's turning out! Our scope encompasses the demolition of, limited remodel, and additions to the Milledgeville Armory Readiness Center. To date, our crew has completed the new bathrooms & showers, installed a 20" rope climbing station, ground & sealed concrete floors, and completed the asphalt for the facility's parking area.

Astra has been fortunate to work on several projects for the Georgia Department of Defense, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership.

A Our hard-working team in Jacksonville, Florida, is making great headway on our Emerald Trail Model Mile project, and they’re about 60% complete with the trail construction! We're also working on asphalt and sign installation. Boardwalk construction will begin soon, and we're excited to see this project take shape for the Jacksonville community.

Atlanta’s Midtown Art Walk Phase 1 project is coming along nicely! Our team is currently working on the demolition of the concrete sidewalk on the Westside of Peachtree Walk NE in preparation for the new sidewalk, along with installing the large granite planter bed walls. We can’t wait to see the finished product!

Terra is truly the jack of all trades here at Astra. She began as Assistant Project Manager but quickly got hungry for more knowledge. Terra's proactiveness led her to become a Contract Manager and Project Coordinator on top of her title as Assistant PM! Terra firmly believes in taking the initiative to succeed and having a reason for motivation. Not only is Terra an excellent employee, but she's also a reliable resource for information and great team player.

Nazy is the employee who always offers a helping hand with a smile on her face. Since 2015, Nazy has been assisting with all-things project management. She is often the person checking in on our job sites, meeting various teams, and uplifting the collaborative spirit.
