After three years of sharing wine with the Canal District, it’s time for our last sip. Regrettably, we were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms for the renewal of our lease, which ends in August. Our last day open to the public will be Sunday, July 28. We’d like to thank our store staff past and present, Worcester Public Market staff, distributors, and other partners for their work and support. Above all, we want to thank our terrific patrons! It’s been a blast learning about wine alongside you. We’re grateful for your business, and for all the memories created at the tasting tables. Thank you and… cheers!

Meet Marie Guido-Miner, our new Wine Curator! 🍷👏🏻

Marie comes to CDW with close to a decade of experience in the wine industry. A self-described science geek and wine enthusiast, Marie was originally a forensic scientist before pivoting into wine as a second career. Marie researched wine yeast and tasted copious amounts of wine while earning her MS in Food Science with a concentration in winemaking at Cornell University. She also holds a Wine + Spirit Education Trust Level III certification, and is a Wine Scholars Guild Champagne Master.

Marie loves all wines but cool climate Rieslings and sparkling wines hold a special place in her heart. Marie loves the small city vibes of Worcester and lives a ways north of the city with her husband, fluffy Siberian cat, and extensive wine collection.

Come on down this week to get to know Marie a bit better, with our “Marie’s Picks” wine tasting theme!

Special parking rates for Small Biz Sat and The Canal District holiday stroll!

Local News: Worcester to Offer Special Parking Rates for Small Business Engagement

City Manager Eric D. Batista announced Tuesday special parking rates for upcoming community festivities in an effort to support the local business economy.

Parking will be free at select municipal lots and garages for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25. A special rate of $1 will be in effect for the annual Festival of Lights, the Canal District Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting, and stART at the Station.

When Worcester residents shop local, they not only support the local business community, but an entire supply chain of local distributors. The City is full of independent retailers, artisans, makers, boutique grocers and more offering a wide variety of goods and services, along with many local entertainment attractions offering family-friendly fun throughout the year.

Free parking all day at Union Station Garage, Green Street Lot, Water Street Lot, and Millbury Street Lot.
