FREE! FREE! FREE!

We are offering a FREE on-ramp program in January. What is on-ramp? It's a class hour exclusively for people new to CrossFit. Over the course of three weeks, our trainers will provide instruction on commonly used movements, assess your strengths and weaknesses and help you develop an effective plan for your goals.

We think of it as a try-out. You are not trying out for us - we are trying out for you! There is no commitment and we won't even ask for a credit card. We'd love to have you join at the end of the program, but if not, we at least hope you had some fun and learned a few things along the way.

Classes begin on Monday January 8th and will meet Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30pm - 8:30pm for three weeks.

As we do each and every year, we will start 2024 off with a FREE JANUARY ON-RAMP PROGRAM for up to 20 people. We will release details, including how to sign-up, in December.

At the same time, we always preach not putting off until tomorrow what you could start today. We often ask the question "where would you be if you started last year". Our response to that has been to offer a free first week but let's do better than that.

HOW ABOUT A FULL FREE MONTH? Never been a CFW member? Give us the month of December to show you that your resolution for 2024 should include CFW. Like Yogi Berra once said - it gets late early. Once we "fall back" this weekend, many of us probably won't see sunlight on the way home for months and it can be a trigger for a lot of things including seasonal depression.

You can let that be an excuse or you can take control and address those emotions with the best remedy we know - exercise and socialization. While you will always walk out of CFW feeling better and more accomplished than you walked in, you will also walk out feeling like a part of something more than just a gym. Our programming hour last night consistent of low volume, high weight back squats (maybe actual 15 working reps) along with an 18-minute long team workout, where by definition, you are resting during a portion of it.

If it's out there, I have tried it. Running - 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and obstacle races. Going to a globo gym and waiting my turn to do the same 4 sets of 10 reps for the same exercises I did the week before. Biking - whether it be spin classes or 200 miles over the weekend on the open road. Even P90X and other quick fix programs. Hell - at one point, I owned a Bowflex.

Any number of fitness regimens and not only has the CrossFit methodology provided the best results, it's the only one that keeps me as interested in my second decade as it did my second week. It's the programming and it's the people. While it's never the same thing twice, it's results every single time.

Could I do the the identical workouts at home? With a big enough investment in equipment, maybe a lot of them. But it wouldn't be the same. No coaching. No nutritional guidance. No accountability. No community. And no healthy competition to keep me honest and working as hard as I possibly can every time I set foot in the place.

How you do anything is how you do everything and CFW is the place you should start.
