The WBLA has immense respect and love for Tiko Losano. He was a fixture at the South End for years. Always had a kind word, was always stoked and the true epitome of a waterman. We named our 'iron man' award for him. The Tiko Losano Waterman Award Winner at the WBLA Jerry Allen's Pro-Am was WBLA's own Johnny Langone. Thanks Johnny for the great surfing, for jumping in and helping at a moments notice and the fun and humor you bring to our sport. Congratulations!

Happy Independence Day!! Land of the free, because of the BRAVE!!

Recently we were notified that an individual with a confirmed positive COVID-19 test was present in one of our restaurants during their potential exposure window. Out of an abundance of caution and consideration of the mobility and intermingling of so many of our team members, we are proactively making the assumption that the possibility of secondary exposures is possible and we are taking every precaution to protect our employees, customers and community members.

As a result, we have tested every employee, requiring any that become symptomatic to quarantine at home as recommended and requiring a negative test for the rest of our team to return to work. Additionally, we have already begun a thorough disinfection of our entire facility according to CDC guidelines. All employees will be required to continue to wear masks the entire time they are at work and thorough handwashing technique will be continued as always. While we are vividly aware that COVID 19 is present and moving throughout our communities, we would like to take this time to remind our family of customers to stay safe, wear a mask when in public, and please stay home if you are not feeling well. This virus presents in many different ways and though it is not life-threatening for most, we as a global community still lack clarity on who seems to be most susceptible.

Many children in NHC depend on attending school to receive breakfast and lunch. While schools are closed we would like to help support our community and the children in it. Katy's Grill And Bar will be offering free kids meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just simply come in and let us know your needs.
