What is that red spot on my nose?
A spider angioma is a small red to purple mark on your skin caused by dilated (wide) blood vessels (capillaries) near the surface of your skin.
Treatment of choice for spider angiomas is a pulse dye laser.
This patient had one treatment with the Candela Vbeam laser for these results. Number of treatments vary depending on size and depth of lesion.

Venous lakes are a benign lesion caused by the dilation of tiny blood vessels. They commonly occur on the upper and lower lip. Venous lakes are dark blue to purple, soft, smooth and have well defined edges.
