KING OF THE VALLEY RULES

1. SAFETY

A. Helmet and goggles, a rider must wear a helmet at all times when riding on a track or course. Helmets must
be of the full-face or full coverage type. All riders must utilize a shatterproof face shield or shatterproof
goggles. The helmet must conform to one of the following recognized standards and have a label affixed
certifying its approval: USA: *Snell M2005, M2010 or DOT FMVSS 218
B. Long pants and long sleeve shirt must be worn, Fire Proof one piece suit is highly recommended in Pro Classes
C. Boots that cover the ankle with laces or buckles, or approved race shoes
D. Gloves are highly recommended for all competitors
E. A 4 or 5 point harness is required for driver and passenger(s), doors and/or netting to keep arms and legs
inside of vehicle.
F. Doors must have latches in good operating order or
G. Fire extinguishers are NOT required as there will be plenty on sight
H. A factory roll cage will be accepted in all classes but aftermarket or reinforced cages are HIGHLY recommended in the PRO
classes

2. NUMBERS

A. Must have numbers on both sides of vehicle; numbers must be at least 6” in height. Numbers must be either
black or white and be on a solid background, no graphic backgrounds. Colored outlines and names will be permitted
as long as they do not impede the numbers.

3. AGE REQUIREMENTS
A. Riders under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a parental consent in
written form in order to participate.
B. Proof of age (i.e., birth certificate or driver's license) must be available upon request by event Promoter or designee
or at rider registration.

4. PIT AREA
A. Riders must register for the race before riding their machine anywhere on the facility grounds.
B. Riders may not exceed 5MPH when traveling to/from their pit area and must always wear a Helmet and or Seat Belt
C. A pit vehicle is any non-racing motorized vehicle used to transport a person within the facility (golf cart, mule, mini
bike, utility ATV, etc).
E. Use of pit vehicles is a privilege, not a right, extended to our adult guest’s age 16 years or older.
F. Reckless or irresponsible pit riding will NOT be tolerated. Violators and entered riders responsible for the violator
will be subject to penalty, including, but not limited to: loss of Starting position, loss of event points, loss of series points,
disqualification and/or removal from the event.

5. CLASSES
A. Must have a minimum of 5 riders to run all classes except a minimum of 2 in 170 class. In the event that there are not,
entries will be refunded or they maybe transferred to another class entry.
B. First qualifier starting positions will be determined by number draw. The main event starting positions will be
determined by first qualifiers finishes and LCQ winners will follow suit
1. Pro Open 15 Riders will compete in the main event
2. Pro N/A 15 Riders will compete in the main event
3. Sportsman 15 Riders will compete in the main event
4. Beginner 15 Riders will compete in the main event
5. 170 All 170 racers will compete in the main event
C. Riders will be divided into equal qualifier groups based on the honor system, with the higher ranked
riders being assigned to different groups to avoid all top ranked riders competing in the same qualifier.
D. An equal number of riders will transfer from each qualifier to the main event.
E. All riders who do not qualify for a main event in the 1st round qualifiers are eligible to compete in the
LCQ. A lesser number of riders will transfer from the LCQ than from the qualifier
F. Qualifiers may be modified by the promoter or his/her designee accordingly to class size.
G. Individuals may ONLY enter one class per event even if you have 2 different class machines

6. OTHER RULES
A. Radios are permitted between pit crew members, but not with or between riders.
B. No rider may ride in such a manner as to endanger life or limb of other riders, officials or the public. Riders
will be penalized for the reckless operation of their machine or for running into an official.
C. Unsportsmanlike conduct, deliberate ramming or intentional contact with another rider will result in being banned
from the series.
D. Team tactics are not allowed. Riders involved in team tactics will be penalized at staff discretion.
E. The promoters, with or without protest, have the right to penalize, disqualify, and/or suspend any vehicle
or entrant for violation of any rule.
F. You may not file a protest by calling a staff member, emailing, Facebook post, Facebook message or any
other means. The only way to file a protest is in person and up to 30 minutes after the your race.
G. Penalties will be assessed at the discretion of the promoter and/or designated personal/race contestants based on the severity of the offense, and may include one or more of the following: position(s), lap(s), time adjustment, disqualification, suspension, loss of championship points, warning, etc.

7. PERSONAL CONDUCT

A. Each rider is responsible for the actions of their family and pit crew. Any unnecessary trouble caused by these
individuals puts that rider at risk of disqualification.
B. Abuse of staff will not be tolerated and will result in probation, suspension and/or disqualification.
C. Fighting will also not be tolerated, if anyone is caught fighting they and/or their rider will be disqualified,
1. The police will be called and charges will be filed.
2. They and/or the rider may be banned for the season or permanently from the series.
D. Any form of deliberate retaliation by a rider will not be tolerated. If caught, rider will be disqualified and may be
banned for the rest of the season or permanently from the series.

8. MACHINE REQUIREMENTS

A. OPEN PRO UTV Class definition: production Turbo/Non Turbo UTVs fitting the below description and can have one or two seats.
1. The Open Pro UTV class vehicles are built using production UTVs, manufactured by registered companies that issue VIN numbers.
2. OEM engines must be used with a maximum engine size of 1,000cc.
3. Must use a hood, grill, front and rear fenders from the UTV. All suspension mounting points must be in the OEM location.
4. All engines must utilize the stock engine cases.
5. Must use OEM transmission and differentials cases in original mounted positions.
6. Maximum vehicle width outside of tires is 80in.
7. The following are allowed: engine modifications, aftermarket engine electronics, aftermarket forced
induction components, aftermarket clutching, aftermarket and long travel suspension.
Chassis and suspension reinforcement allowed.

B. PRO OPEN NON-TURBO UTV class definition; production NON Turbo UTVs fitting the below description and can have one or two seats.
1. The Pro NON-TURBO UTV class vehicles are built using production UTVs, manufactured by companies that issue VIN numbers
2. UTVs must use a normally aspirated OEM engine with a maximum engine size of 1,000cc*.
3. All engines must utilize the stock engine cases.
4. Must use a hood, grill, front and rear fenders from the UTV.
5. All suspension mounting points must be in the OEM location. Shocks must mount in the OEM location.
6. Must use OEM transmission and differentials cases in original mounted positions.
7. The following are allowed: engine modifications, aftermarket engine electronics, aftermarket clutching, aftermarket and long travel suspension.
8. Chassis and suspension reinforcement allowed

C. SPORTSMAN UTV class definition: Production 1 seat, 2 seat, 4 seat UTVs, (Turbo, Non Turbo, RS1s UTVs allowed)
1. The Sportsman class is a 1st or 2nd year racer level class.
2. The Sportsman class vehicles are built using production UTVs, manufactured by registered companies that issue VIN numbers.
3. OEM engines must be used with a maximum engine size of 1,000cc.
4. Must use a hood, grill, front and rear fenders from the UTV. All suspension mounting points must be in the OEM location.
5. All engines must utilize the stock engine cases.
6. Must use OEM transmission and differentials cases in original mounted positions.
7 The following are allowed: engine modifications, aftermarket engine electronics, aftermarket clutching, aftermarket and long travel suspension.
8. Chassis and suspension reinforcement allowed
9. The Promoter or his/her designee will have the final say on all sportsman entries. The Promoter or his/her designee reserves the right to split or combine classes to accommodate similar classes of vehicles.

D. BEGINNER/NEVER RACED Before class definition; Production 1 seat, 2 seat, 4 seat UTVs, Turbo, Non Turbo and RS1 UTVs allowed
1. The Beginner class is for individuals that have never been on a race track only class.
2. The Beginner class vehicles are built using production UTVs, manufactured by registered companies that issue VIN numbers.
3. OEM engines must be used with a maximum engine size of 1,000cc.
4. Must use a hood, grill, front and rear fenders from the UTV. All suspension mounting points must be in the OEM location.
5. All engines must utilize the stock engine cases.
6. Must use OEM transmission and differentials cases in original mounted positions.
7 The following are allowed: engine modifications, aftermarket engine electronics, aftermarket clutching, aftermarket and long travel suspension.
8. Chassis and suspension reinforcement allowed
9. The Promoter or his/her designee will have the final say on all Beginner class entries. The Promoter or his/her designee reserves the right to split or combine classes to accommodate similar classes of vehicles.

E. KIDS 12 UNDER 170cc Class Definition;
1. The 170cc class vehicles are built using production UTVs, manufactured by registered companies that issue VIN numbers.
2. OEM engines must be used with a maximum engine size of 170cc
3. Must use a hood, grill, front and rear fenders from the UTV. All suspension mounting points must be in the OEM location.
4. All engines must utilize the stock engine cases.
5. Must use OEM transmission and differentials cases in original mounted positions.
6. The following are allowed: engine modifications, aftermarket engine electronics, aftermarket clutching, Aftermarket fuel and air delivery systems,
aftermarket and long travel suspension.
7. Chassis and suspension reinforcement allowed
