More progress! The new drywall ceiling is a big box checked!✔️✔️

Thank you to SO MANY OF YOU who have shared our updates! We're hoping that means lots and lots of people will make time to come see us while we open up for TWO WEEKS! The store is beautiful (even with a plastic wall separating the damaged part) and the clothing and shoes are PLENTIFUL! Come see for yourself!

We'd LOVE your help spreading the word! Please SHARE this update on your social media platforms! We've been closed for NINE WEEKS, and would LOVE to have as many as possible come by during our TWO WEEK temporary opening! There's a plastic wall separating the damaged part of the store, but the rest is BEAUTIFUL!

Well we’re starting to make things around here pretty again! Rinda, Caden and Janet gave a much needed makeover to some landscaping adjacent to the parking area. As for the inside, permits are apparently in line to be ready within a couple of weeks! Then the inside will be getting all repaired and looking spiffier than ever! We’ll keep you posted on a grand reopening this summer!🥰
Re-sharing some pics of what happened on April 3. Still feeling so grateful that NO ONE was hurt! Documents show this building is nearing 100 years old! She has served us well and will continue to do so🩷

Our plans for restoration are complete! Now off to the city for permits! Praying that will be a speedy process… the Fiddlesticks squad is so ready to get this and more moving along for what will be a fabulous grand re-opening! We miss you all!🥰

What have the Stix Chix been doing to bide the time while the store gets repaired? (Can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks since a car drove through our building.)
We are traveling, gardening, recovering from surgery, tackling home projects, grandparenting, community service and much more- taking advantage of our “temporary” retirement! One of our store display designers and artist, Janet Buege will be showing/selling her unique “rock art” at the Larsen Gallery Artfest on May 18! Also, our clothing window merchandiser Carol Von Stubbe will be selling her amazing collage art. They are two of 28 local artists at this free and fun event! (Did someone say beer/wine/live music?)It’s at the new Rotary Pavillion downtown. 11am-4pm. We’re sharing a sampling from her collection of 40 original works! Meanwhile, keep watching here for updates on the progress being made at the store…

While progress in structural assessments, insurance issues and permits etc, feels like a snails pace, Baxter Construction is here and working!! Cleaning each item, documenting, sorting and boxing up our treasures for safekeeping until we’re ready to re-open! That date is still tbd- 🥴 but hang in there … we want to open as soon as we’re able!

Normally, today would be our annual “No Sales Tax” day. (We pay sales tax for you)🥴
While we continue to await word on getting started on repairs from damage caused by a vehicle that ran into our store on April 3, we firmly believe all of you “Stix” fans will continue to hang in there with us! Keep watching here for ways we hope to bide the time until an official re-opening. Thank you😍🥰!!

Due to this unfortunate incident Fiddlesticks will be closed for an undetermined period of time. The driver had a medical issue and unknowingly came off 16th and through the building. Our hearts go out to her and her family. Thankfully no employees, customers or the driver were hurt.
We wish to thank Baxter Construction who arrived so quickly to begin clean up- they are a team of ‘clean-up warriors’ and are extremely compassionate of our situation.

Every year on April 1st, Michele promises us a visit from Tom Seleck! Every year he shows up on a very antiquated dvd player. The pizza however is fresh and delish! Thanks for the April fool😍😍❤️❤️!
