Birch & Main

Michael Mcpolin, our founder and owner, began the company in 2012 hand pouring candles in the kitchen of his home. The name derives from the street names of two former residences. Birch is the street he grew up on, and Main was the street of his first home as an adult.

After a few years of tweaking our products Michael decided to put his 15 years of corporate retail experience to use and open a store 2017, located in Wading River, NY. We outgrew our first location within a year and eventually settled in our current home at 230 East Main Street, Port Jefferson, NY.

Our Vision

Our vision for Birch & Main stems from a nostalgic yearning for vintage, historical design and references. We have found a way to unite this sentiment with contemporary aesthetics in a way that just feels right.
