The Centennial Year of NY State Parks & Historic Sites has officially begun! And what better way to celebrate the 100th birthday of our state parks system than to explore the incredible parks, historic sites, and greenway trails that make NYS a premier recreation destination?

While out on your next adventure, NY State Parks & Historic Sites invites you to take the Centennial Challenge! 100 opportunities to get outdoors, learn more about our state history, and give back to preserve these spaces for future generations–ALL WHILE winning prizes!

Mission: Complete 24 out of 100 activities and earn a commemorative Centennial prize, as well as entry into a random drawing for one of 24 three-year Empire Passes and a Centennial swag bag!

Our friends at Rockefeller State Park Preserve will be hosting " Abilities Day: Striking a New Path" on November 19th from 12:00p.m. until 3:00p.m.. It's a free event promoting accessibility of recreational and educational activities for all.

Maine is more than just a place to us; it's our home, our community, our family, and our identity.

The state’s iconic landscape – from the mountains to the coastline – serves as inspiration to us daily. As do the hard-working and caring communities who make up our great state. It’s why our purpose is to inspire and enable people to experience the restorative power of being outside.

As Maine begins to recover from the tragedy in Lewiston, we are committed to providing community and connection – for each other and to the outdoors. We will start by reopening our retail locations in Freeport on Saturday, October 28. We are also in the process of determining how best to support and honor those impacted in our community. In the meantime, we will continue holding onto love and coming together to support Lewiston and Maine.
